Temperature Verification Scanners: What is it and How it Can Help You

As the current pandemic rolls on, it continues to be imperative for companies to conduct business as safely and efficiently as possible.

Many businesses are required to take temperatures before employees or customers enter their facilities. While temperature-taking upon entry can be a useful tool to fight the spread of COVID-19, it is not always practical to have an employee stand at the entrance all day and scan temperatures.

Even if you do have someone who can stand out front, do they know everyone who works at your business?

Wouldn’t it be great if you could just have a kiosk that both checks temperatures and facilitates facial recognition quickly and efficiently?

Yes, it would. That’s why Lynn Imaging is now offering a Temperature Verification Kiosk.

What are Temperature Verifications Kiosks?

A Temperature Verification Kiosk is a thermal imaging system designed to automate temperature scanning with ±0.9°F accuracy. It’s temperature reading in less than two seconds.

These check-in kiosks help protect the health and safety of employees and guests of your firm.

How do these kiosks work?

The process is simple. An LED light at the top of the kiosk verifies both the visitor’s temperature and facial recognition.

If the person passes the facial recognition and temperature scan, the LED light will show green. If either fails, the light shows red with a message saying, “Access is denied.” If needed, an audio alarm can be programmed to sound when a person is above the temperature threshold.

The kiosks also add extra precautions by allowing visitors to keep their masks on during their scans. And this process is hands-free.

Additionally, there are freestanding and countertop designs, which fit the needs of your business.

What are the specifications?

Here are some Temperature Verification Kiosk specifications:

  • 12 to 60 inches (1 to 5 feet) distance is needed for scanning.
  • It works best at 18 inches from the screen.
  • Face masks can be worn during the scan.
  • It can email and alert.
  • Face scans are stored on the local system.
  • FDA & ADA Compliance
  • ISO Certification
