This project will replace all exterior windows and aluminum entry doors at Bradford Hall at Kentucky State University. As part of the window replacement, existing steel lintels will be remediated or replaced as necessary, exterior brick will be cleaned, all exterior hollow metal doors and frames will be replaced, new entry security hardware, and several new brick expansion joints will be added to alleviate the expansion causing cracks to open in the exterior envelope. To protect the building envelope, several existing trees and vines growing on the brick will be removed, and an abandoned mechanical enclosure will be demolished. A new entry canopy at the main entrance and a small canopy at the landing entrance to the Business Wing will also be added. To hide the loading dock that faces Main St., a new screen fence will be erected along the existing drive. GC shall work with KSU’s Campus Security system hardware supplier & installer. An Allowance shall be provided for this work.
