The major work items for the Mount Sterling Landfill Capping project include: existing fence and gate removal, stripping and stockpiling topsoil, earthwork grading for cap, installation of compacted earthen material for cap, installation of non-woven geotextile, installation of topsoil on cap, placement of crushed stone, new fence and gate installation, placement of Class II channel lining, and revegetation in order to cap the area of existing waste.
