Construction of a one-story 1,515 sqaure foot concrete block masonry building with wood rood trusses for use as a concessions stand and public restrooms and including associated site work, general construction, plumbing, sanitary sewer, ventilation and electrical.
The scope of work consists of a full restaurant tenant fit-up in existing space. All mechanical/electrical/plumbing trades will be required as well as glass/glazing, drywall/metal stud, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, tile, acoustic ceiling, painting, and roofing.
Requirement of this project for all work to meet the Departmrnt of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.
The demolition work involves but is not limited to selective demolition of deteriorated materials for replacement. The roof will be replaced; the HVAC system will be replaced; electric power system extended to new HVAC locations; exterior doors will be repaired with some replaced; exterior aluminum windows will be replaced; existing cold rolled steel windows will be repaired, reglazed; handrails and guardrails will be replaced at exterior stairs and ramp and limited other renovation work. Bid alternates include the selective replacement of interiors doors, frames and hardware; selective replacement of exterior metal storm windows; installation of telecom and data wiring; selective installation of security cameras and DVR equipment; provision of three year preventive maintenance contract for newly installed HVAC system; and selective demolition of interior wall partitions.

The project is a multi-year, multi-phase renovation/replacement including but not limited to the roof systems and building envelope for the Raymond Cravens Library/Helm Library. RCL is a 9-floor building consisting of a cast-in-place concrete structure with an exterior wall system constructed of CMU back-up and brick masonry veneer and full building height curtain wall systems. A pedestrian bridge provides access to the 4th floor of the building and an enclosed two level structured walkway provides access from RCL to Helm Library. A one-story cast-in-place concrete portico provides cover for the concrete walkway on the south and southwest elevations.

Science Building – Phase II Control System Upgrade
Integrate remaining existing DDC Legacy System components into new FMS controls. It is proposed to provide new controls and sequences to remaining system throughout the Science Building, and bring all equipment to Web control.
Alternate #1 – Replace one of the existing boiler plant units, with new boiler sized for 1/3 of Building Load. The new boiler will be sequenced for summer reheat hot water, and will allow larger boiler to be off until heating season.
Alternate #2 – Provide one additional boiler sized for 1/3 Building Heating Load (Total of Alt. #1 and Alt. #2 Boilers sized for 2/3 Building heating Load). The new boilers will be sequenced for cascading control for summer reheat hot water, and will allow larger boiler to be off until heating season.
AT Building – VAV Box Controls Replacement
Remove existing pneumatic control system including tubing for the VAV boxes served by AHU#1 and AHU#2. Replace existing VAV box control’s devices and reheat valves only, and provide new FMS controls to each VAV box and zone, (one Thermostat per. Zone. The Remaining (33) VAV Box Controls will be replaced via unit prices as funds are available.
Provide a complete HVAC System Cleaning to all low and medium pressure supply and return ductwork. Sanitized and coat insulation for all interlay insulated low pressure ductwork, VAV boxes and Air Handling Units.

The Project consists of the addition of a new standing seam metal roof and structural system over the existing roof of the Drill Hall of the Armory building, of approximately 7,000 SF.
The scope of work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to the following areas – selective demolition as indicated or necessary to complete the indicated new work, as well as protection of adjoining roofs to remain. Addition of the new roof structure will be on top of the existing masonry walls at the perimeter of the Drill Hall. The existing wall coping will be removed but the low slope built up roof within the perimeter walls will remain. The scope also includes all associated metal trims, flashings, fascias, gutters, downspouts and associated rain drainage. The project includes the removal of an existing roof ventilator and the installation of a roof hatch. The work shall also include all of the related wok to accomplish the construction scope of work indicated herein and as shown on Contract Documents prepared by Pearson & Peters Architects PLC.
