Contractor to supply all labor and equipment as required to replace the existing 2″ condensate piping from the POT utility tunnel up to and through the mechanical room crawl space in the Old Fine Arts Building, located at 465 Rose Street, as described and shown in this document, associated drawings and special conditions. The University will supply the 2″ condensate piping and the successful bidder shall supply all other materials, such as: but limited to piping and fittings inside the POT tunnel and Old Fine Arts crawl space, required insulation and testing equipment. All sections of concrete sidewalk,curbs and asphalt road surfaces that are removed or damaged during this project shall be replaced with new materials that are designed and installed to current University of Kentucky standards. Contractor is responsible for removal and disposal of all materials associated with required excavation.

Approximately 4200 square feet office building addition of wood frame construction. The building will have brick veneer with vinyl clad windows, and wood and aluminum trim. Wood trussed structure and shingle roof is called for. Concrete foundations and slab on grade. Interior finishes include, remove and reinstall existing cabinetry, new cabinetry, wood doors, gyp board wall and ceiling finishes, paint, and interior wood trims; Movable partitions. Addition of H.C. accessible toilet rooms, and plumbing improvements. Mechanical system modifications; inclusive of renovation to existing and new additions of HVAC Systems. Addition of 200 AMP electrical service. Site development includes earth/excavation work, sanitary sewer, water, gas, and electric, parking areas, and landscaping. Approximately 1000 SF of the existing office shall be affected with new finishes and other general modifications. General contract bidders may purchase two (2) sets of the contract documents for $90.00, refundable only if the general contractor submits a bona-fide bid. For any additional set or sets of the Contract documents, including specifications and drawings, they are available at cost, and this is not refundable to the plan purchaser. Sub-contractors may purchase (1) set of plans and specifications for a deposit of $65.00, refundable if the contractor returns the plans in good condition to Lynn within 3 business days of the bids being taken, or plans may be purchased at cost and this cost is not refundable to the sub-contractors.

The work will consist of earthwork to fill pit and spread topsoil, positive drainage gradework, ECB ditch, roadway stone and revegetation of 1 bond forfeiture permit with 2 increments. Roof Replacement Food Service Bldg Kentucky School for the Blind

The work consists of replacing roofing systems on the roofs of the Food Service Building and on the
entrance foyer of the Classroom Building located on the campus of Kentucky School for the Blind in
Louisville, Kentucky.
The Food Service Building roof system is approximately 16,000 SF and is comprised of a 4-ply asphalt BUR
membrane with ballast over 2″ of fiberglass insulation on top of metal decking. Structure and deck slopes to
drain except on section of the roof where existing structure is flat and built up tapered insulation was installed
at a slope 1/8″/foot to achieve drainage. Tapered insulation totals approximately 6″ at the peak and 2″ at the
low side. The system shall be removed down to the roof deck and replaced with a new roofing system
comprised of 2-ply modified SBS roof membrane over 1 ½” of polyisocyanurate insulation and ½” perlite
resin coating on curbs and pipe structures. In addition, parapet caps shall be removed and replaced with
new pre-finished metal edge trim strips and foil faced flashings to be supported by treated wood blocking
specified to be installed all around parapet edges.
The entrance foyer of the Classroom Building is approximately 410 SF and is comprised of a fully adhered
single ply EPDM roof membrane over plywood deck. It is unknown whether insulation exists under the
membrane. The system shall be removed in its entirety, down to the plywood deck and replaced by a new
system that will include the following: polyisocyanurate insulation, 2-ply SBS membrane roofing and ½”
perlite cover board and perlite tapered insulation. Flashing shall be reinforced resin coatings.

disposed of in an approved landfill. After confirmation sampling is completed the
Contractor shall backfill the excavated areas with the segregated stockpiled material
and crushed stone. And the construction of the final surface as indicated.
