The project consists of a 20,733 SF, one shell office building, with a 3,226 SF fit-up for a medical clinic, and a 3,494 SF fit-up for a physical therapy office. Construction of the building consists of masonry/wood frame walls and a wood truss roof on a concrete foundation and masonry foundation walls. The project includes general construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and site/civil work.

Phase IB of this project consists of the construction of two surge basins (one concrete, with the other earthen), chemical stabilization using lime, wet well with three high-capacity pumps, rock anchors, effluent gate structure, return flow valve vault, groundwater pump station, above-ground water storage tank, electrical building, standby generation systems, several low capacity pumps, screening building, perimeter drains, landscaping, buried piping, storm drainage, etc. associated with this project. Phase II of this project will be bid as an alternate to Phase IB and consists of construction of an earthen surge basin (approx.87.5 MG), chemical stabilization using lime, buried piping, two high-capacity pumps, landscaping, storm drainage, etc. associated with this project. All excess soil and rock will be stockpiled on-site for each Phase. The project is located to the south of Produce Road, east of Poplar Level Road and west of Jennings Lane.
To install underground steam piping from vault 50 next to KMSF to behind the Hunt Morgan Building. Modify tops on vault 50 steam and chilled water, the Hunt Morgan Vault. Install extension on Greenhouse Vault and new piping. Install new vault to replace existing dirt vault.
The project scope includes 3 seperate bid package that include the removal and replacement of exterior windows/doors, new HVAC system, and public restroom renovation. The work must be substantially complete no later than July 15, 2012.
RFB-173-12 Reroof & Enclose Concourses John H. Gray Bldg

This project is to extend the existing roof of the John H. Gray Building to cover the existing concourses at each end. These concourses have been repaired numerous times over the years. The existing center portion of standing seam metal roof (20,600 SF gabled roof at 2:12 slope) will remain in place, minimizing impact to on-going activities in the building. The flutes will be filled with rigid polyisocyanurate insulation, covered with ½” recovery board and roofed with 2-ply SBS modified bitumen roofing sheets. Seismic upgrades have been incorporated at each end of the building by Brown + Kubican as a separate project but the center part of the building has not been upgraded to meet current seismic code. The hip roofs at each end of the third floor will be removed and replaced with a gabled roof (7,575 SF each end, sloped at 2:12) to match the existing remaining center roof area. These roof areas will be extended to cover the entire Second Floor and eliminate the concourses at each end of the building.
A steel frame clerestory entry will be added to increase the stature of the building at the North End, signalling this as the main entry to the Administration Building and Student Services.
The existing brown fascia & soffit panels at the Third Floor Roof and panels at the mechanical penthouses will be updated with metal panels to look more like the Joe C. Davis Building and the Brown Badgett Energy and Technology Building. The new brick will match the existing brick with architectural detailing carried over from adjacent buildings.
The West end will be fit-up for a new Student Services area and the President’s Office, Academic Affairs and Development will be renovated / relocated across the corridor. For continued description, see the Special Conditions

This project consists of various upgrading of HVAC Control Systems for Hopkinsville Community College in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The work generally consists of the following improvements: demolition of existing HVAC controls and selective HVAC equipment, installation of new HVAC controls, installation of new HVAC dual duct terminal unit; fabrication and installation of ductwork; electrical work; and testing, adjusting and balancing. The trades involved include, but are not limited to: HVAC, sheetmetal, mechanical, insulation, HVAC controls, electrical, and testing/adjusting/balancing. The work must be performed while the buildings are occupied. It is expected that most of the work must be performed after-hours so as not to disturb normal college operations.

The scope of work consists of the demolition of the two existing pipe fan coil systems and attendant equipment serving the building located at 139 East Irvine Street, in Richmond, Ky. including but not limited to boilers, pumps, piping, controls, dampers, fans and replacing with a new variable refrigerant flow system. A dedicated make up air system with DX cooling coil, air cooled condensing unit, electric duct heater and ductwork is also included. This project includes an allowance of $18,000.00 to be included in the Contractors base bid for additional control work as indicated on the drawings to be performed by InnerSpace. The office building will be occupied during normal working hours 7am to 5pm hence all work must be done after hours and on weekends and all work areas must be cleaned at the end of each shift. A work schedule must be submitted and approved prior to beginning work on the project.

The work for this project consists of the restoration of 4,067 LF of the Left Fork of Elisha Creek and 160 LF of an unnamed tributary, including but not limited to construction of in-stream structures, excavation of proposed channels and floodplains, reshaping of existing channels, native planting and seeding, preparation of soil for seeding, planting of trees and shrubs, installation of erosion control fabric and mulch, and harvesting, transporting, installing, and maintaining live stake and rooted materials.
The project includes installation along three different corridors shown in the construction documents. Specifics consist of the installation of conduit, communication pull boxes, overhead span, utility poles, cable and related items covered in the Bid Schedule, plus incidentals necessary to complete the work.
Main Street in Middletown new sidewalks, curbs, drainage and landscaping from City Hall east to Evergreen Drive. A distance of approximately 0.41 miles. Demolition of existing concrete sidewalks and curbs, apshalt pavement and other miscellaneous itemts to be removed as indicated on drawings. New construction will consist of concrete/brick sidewalks, concrete curb and gutters, asphalt pavement and base, crosswalks and other miscellaneous items.
Contract 584-09-02 Expansion of the Staton (to become Red River Wastewater Authority) wastewater treatment plant from a capacity of .045 million gallons per day to a capacity of 1.4 million gallons per day. the construction will include a new and upgraded influent pump station, new grit and screening facilities, new aeration basins, new clarifiers, new UV disinfection, new post aeration building, new sludge handling building with sludge press and a new administration building.

The work includes the renovation of the existing school with new additions for a total of 78,176 SF. Teh existing school has approximately 60,588 SF and the additions have 17,588 SF – all part of a one-story building, though the existing Gymnasium flor is 3′-9″ lower than the main building floor elevations. Stonewall Elementary School was originally built in 1960 with major building additions in 1962, 1965, 1974, and 1979. The scope of work for this current major construction project includes, but is not limited to: selective and building demolition, removal and replacement of mechanical systems including installation of variable refrigerant volume systems, replacment of existing electrical systems, fire protection, fire alarm systems, interior finishes (walls, ceilings, floors, and base), door hardware, site improvements and paving, replacement of kitchen equipment and the addition of 17,588 SF of new administrative area, stage, interior ramped corridor connection to Gym, media center, classrooms and secondary entry vestibules. The work effort will be executed in four principal phases beginning in April/May 2012 and ending in December 2013. The building will be occupied during all phases of construction work.
The work consists of installing 715 linear feet of 8-inch sewer, 7 property service connections, 4 manholes with castings, 1 drop manhole with casting and associated appurtenances. 78 linear feet of the 8-inch sewer pipe is to be installed in an existing steel casing pipe previously installed by another contract. This contract will provide the necessary spacers, bulk head, and appurtenant items necessary to complete the crossing

This project involves the removal of the seven (7) water source heat pumps and installing new units, installing a new salt free water softener, installing new DDC controls on new heat pumps and making an interface to existing electrical controls on existing heat pumps. Add to the existing DDC controls so Frankfort can see new heat pumps that are being installed and to interface with the existing heat pump systems.
The project scope includes a new elementary school approximately 65,000 square feet of new construction. The work must be substantially complete no later than June 30,2013.
