Project consists of a 65,308 square feet new construction. The project includes sitework, concrete, masonry, structural steel, mechanical, fire protection and electrical.
Project Scope: This project consists of the interior renovation of the former bookstore space and lower level shell space into the Admission Office. The upper level will be subdivided into office and meeting space and the lower level will be subdivided into offices, open work room and workroom. The levels will be connected via spiral staircase. The existing MEP systems will be modified and adapted to these new space configurations. Interior finishes will consist of carpet tile, luxury vinyl, acoustical ceiling tile, painted gypsum board walls and wood trim.

A price contract for a portion of Louisville Metro Government’s need for sidewalk repairs on Kurtz Avenue & Caven Avenue for a period of twelve (12) months.
The scope of work includes earthwork, dam and spillway construction, erosion control, the installation of storm sewers and appurtenances, and stabilization as shown on the Construction Plans. The site is located behind Clark Moore Middle School, north of Savannah Drive, and South of Bay Colony Subdivision.
The work replaces an aging 4″ water main with approximately 1,850 LF of new 6-inch PVC SDR-17 main. Also including approximately 45 residential meter reconnects.

Scope of Work
The city intends to issue a contract providing for the addition of a new Vestibule Entry to the Sewer Department Main Office at 1200 Kentucky Avenue. Existing storefront will be replaced and include addition of new curtainwall vestibule approximatley 9′-10″ deep by 14′-16″ wide footprint with roof structure up to 10′-0″ tall under existing exterior soffit. new curtainwall with include three new doors, and new sidewalk concrete. Work will include teh parital demolition and expansion of existing ramp, and removal and reinstallation of existing ramp handrails. Contractor shall be required to maintain the facility functions during all aspects of the construction. The contract and/or purchase to bid. The contract shall be provided in accordance with the stated specifications in Article IV- Proposal Specifications, and Article V- Technical Specifications, of this invitation. The City’s Purchasing Agent shall notify the successful bidder. After notification of the bid award to the successful bidder, the work specified by the bid package shall be coordinated with and installed as required by the City of Frankfort Sewer Department and the specifications.

This work includes the construction of a 2,000 sf office building at 473 Highway 15 South, Jackson, KY 41339. The building is slab-on-grade with wood framed walls, vinyl clad double hung wood windows, R-19 batt insulation, shop –fabricated wood trusses, asphalt shingle roofing, and fiber cement siding. Typical floor finish to be vinyl composition tile, typical wall finish to be painted gypsum board, typical ceiling to be suspended acoustical tiles. Typical ceiling height to be 8’-0”, typical bearing wall to be 10’-1”. The HVAC system is an electric heat pump. The building will accommodate occupancy of 21 and house the following rooms and function: a large workroom with kitchenette, four private offices, a small conference room, men’s and women’s restrooms, mechanical room, custodial room, communications room, and reception room. The work also includes a small asphalt parking area, (1 space, accessible). Consult project description for information regarding connecting to site utilities.

The basic intent of this project and specification is for the bidder/contractor to provide a fully operational and code compliant renovation, upgrade, and modernization of the two individual elevator systems in the Barnhart Building. The successful bidder/contractor shall bid and construct the project based on, and satisfy all applicable requirements of, current national, state, and local codes and safety regulations including the ASME 17.1 2007 Edition, environmental requirements, and the current requirements of the Kentucky State Elevator Code and Inspection Department. This further includes, whether or not specified, providing all work, equipment, and labor necessary and as required for the specific situations of the elevator system renovation, upgrade, and modernization. All work shall be completed to the Owner’s satisfaction. The bidder/contractor should visit the site and examine the existing site conditions and equipment prior to entering a bid. Contact David Tyler (859-327-2834) for a tour of the site. The bidder/contractor, in his site visit, should carefully examine all elements of the elevator system as to whether to reuse or replace any given element of the system as the Owner’s decision at the time of construction will take precedent as to whether to replace or not. Therefore, for any marginal element the contractor should consider replacement. During the project, unclear information and/or other conflicts may be appealed by either party to the University Purchasing Division for resolution. Should there be any situation or question as to the project requiring a revision of the bid document, specification, or need for explanation, the contractor must contact the Purchasing Division (Leon Roberts at 859-323-6457 or lrobe2@uky.edu) no later than 7 days prior to the bid date. Otherwise, the Owner will not consider change orders or modification of the project because of contractor oversight in the preparation of his bid. In general, the renovation, upgrade, and modernization project includes, but is not limited to: 1. Complete upgrade and modernization of the two individual hydraulic elevator systems (two passenger elevators and one individual freight elevator), 2. Installation and/or Upgrade of the Fireman Service and corridor smoke detection systems, 3. Required electrical work for the elevator systems and the fire alarm system, 4. Replacement of any worn or suspect parts anywhere in either system, and 5. Upgrading of the cars, machine rooms, hoistways, and pits. For maintenance purposes, the successful bidder/contractor shall maintain a Lexington reporting center with at least 3 technicians living within 30 miles of the Lexington Campus. One or all of these service personnel shall be available 24 hours a day for emergency response (within 1 hour) to the Campus.

The Oldham County Environmental Authority Covered Bridge Wastewater Treatment Plant Decommissioning project includes construction of new facilities and upgrades to one existing wastewater pump station. New construction and upgrades include one (1) concrete wet well; one (1) concrete valve vault; one (1) emergency generator; two (2) pumps, including level control floats, guiderails, pump bases, discharge piping and valves; two (2) pumps, including guiderails and pump bases; associated yard piping, electrical, site work, paving, and demolition, removal, and hauling of existing equipment; and temporary bypass pumping and power. A 6-inch diameter pressure pipeline, approximately 2270 feet long, will be constructed from the Covered Bridge Wastewater Treatment Plant to the Albrecht Drive Lift Station. An 8-inch diameter pressure pipeline, approximately 2210 feet long, will be constructed near Crosshill Court Lift Station.

The program of work for which bidgs are to be submitted conists of the rehabilitation of 3 sewer pumping stations, replacement of 1 sewer pumping station, replacement of approximately 3,400 L.F. of 10-inch gravity sewer using pipe bursting method and rehabilitation of 87 four foot diameter manholes, including all related appurtenances as shown on the Drawings and described in the Specifications for the sewage collection system for the City of Louisa Kentucky.

Haggin Field Honors Housing is a new 600 bed dorm located on University of Kentucky’s campus next to the existing Haggin Hall. The new dorm will be approximately 160,000 sf comprised of 2 buildings that are 4 stories. The south building will have a wing that will consist of approximately 7800 sf basement. It will be a wood framed structure with floor and roof trusses. The bedrooms will be in a suite style with 4 beds sharing a common bath. the exterior facade consists of brick and aluminum storefronts. Site improvements include new site utilities and a plaza between the buildings.
Bid Package 2 includes the remaining scopes of work that have not been previously bid as part of Bid Package 1 or Request for Proposal 1 for the Haggin Field Honors Housing. The scopes of work that were previously bid were: Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical, Excavation and Site Utilities, Foundations, and Elevator.
