The program of work for Contract 1 which bids are to be submitted consists of the replacement of
approximately 46,000 LF of existing 3”, 4” and 6” water main and replacement of existing service line. The
program of work for Contracts 2A, 2B and 2C consists of the replacement of approximately 26,500 LF,
19,000 LF, and 18,000 LF respectively, of 4”, 6” and 8” pipe. Also included in all three contracts is the
replacement of existing service line.

This project consists of installation of new hollow metal frames, doors and metal
stud with gypsum walls. These new walls and frames will infill existing hallway openings in order to
control access into the existing gym. The existing lay-in ceiling will be selectively reconfigured to
allow for installation of new work only. Finishes include paint, lay-in grid, ceiling tiles and rubber
base. Electrical scope will relocate existing light fixtures and provide exit lighting. Existing sprinkler
system to be adjusted to accommodate new work.

UK High Voltage Utilities requires installation of a new electrical duct bank across S. Upper
Street to replace an outdated duct bank containing Orangeburg conduits (and the aging
circuits within). This project will allow full use of the new duct bank across S. Limestone,
improve safety conditions in vaults 104 and 105, and improve general reliability for nearly all
circuits coming to campus from substation #2 (especially circuit 2-5 which experienced a
recent outage and feeds much of the Ave. of Champions corridor, as well as serving as a
backup to the Peterson Service building, Heating #2, Parking #5, and the new Cornerstone
facility). No electrical outages should be required. Sidewalk and single-lane road closures will
be required.
The work located at L&N Building Parking lot in downtown Louisville, Kentucky consists of a sinkhole that has developed from an unknown cause. The parking lot was built on the former L&N railyard and thus is speculated that buried debris could be a potential cause of the sinkhole. AEI has performed a Geotechnical investigation and recommended excavating soil at the sinkhole location down to a 15’ depth and re-install/compact in lifts as recommended by the Geotechnical report. All the soil excavated from the site should remain on site and placed back into the excavation hole due to prior contamination. The existing asphalt should be reconstructed to match existing pavement thickness, grades, and direction of flow.

It is the LFUCAB’s intent to hire a consulting firm who will perform a comprehensive planning study
and produce planning documents in accordance with the airport’s development goals and FAA
requirements. The LFUCAB is interested in firms which can demonstrate expertise and ability to
deliver such a project. Due to public interest in major airport infrastructure projects, it is likely that the
project will be subject to extensive review by government agencies and the public.
Louisville Water Company is requesting Bids for the furnish and install of approximately 4,020 Square Feet of Asphalt paved
roadway, approximately 550 CY of roadway fill, 47 +/- LF of 60 inch Concrete Storm pipe (Or approved equal) near the intersection of Lotus Road and KY 245 in Bullitt County, all of the above made ready for use in accordance and compliance with the Contract Documents. All materials to be supplied by the Contractor.
This project is for the construction of a 60’-3″ long x 60-0″ wide x 10’ high concrete structure with an interior concrete pad and concrete entrance apron for the purpose of bulk storage of roadway, deicing salt.
Class “A” concrete to be reinforced with epoxy coated rebar & fiber, which shall be used throughout the shallow, spread footing and walls. The Contractor shall be required to perform all excavation, filling, grading, & compaction of sub-grade and sub-base necessary for the construction of footing, interior pad, and entrance apron.
Concrete walls will be ten (10) feet high, will be twelve (12) inches thick, will be constructed on the concrete footing, and will support a pre-engineered, membrane covered (roof) structure (PMCS) with trusses on fifteen (15) on-centers. The roof structure is to be furnished and installed separately by Bulk Storage, Inc., per their current Master Agreement upon completion of the footing and walls under this contract. The (PMCS) is not a part of this Scope of Work.

Work of the Project includes removal of existing single pane windows and subsequent installation of new
thermally efficient, double pane anodized aluminum windows. Also included in the project is an alternate
for installation of a new exterior entrance door and an ADA compliant access ramp.
Work of the Project includes the complete tear off down to existing structural deck (metal for school,
tectum at the gym), replacement of any damaged deck, and installation of new roof drains, mech curbs as
req., new rigid insulation and a new 2 ply modified bitumen roof system. The existing roof consists of 2
layers. The first layer is the original built up roof with some granular cover remaining on wood fiber
board and perlite. The upper layer is EPDM membrane on fiber board installed on top of the original
roof. Also included will be the replacement of the existing roof drains and down spouts with new.
The Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration (DECA) intends to retain the services of a qualified remediation contractor to perform corrective action at the former burn sites (“target areas”) located within WKMA where elevated lead and polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) levels have been detected. The sites include one (1) main target area and three (3) smaller target areas totaling approximately 1.74 acres within the wooded area west of Rice Springs Road and south-southwest of the Six Ponds Fishing area at 37.104188, -88.840748.
The project involves the removal and disposal of approximately 1,320 cubic yards of lead impacted soil at an approved Subtitle D Landfill; the utilization of a soil stabilization additive; backfill of the excavated impact area with material harvested from within the WKMA; revegetation of all disturbed areas with preapproved seed mixes; and the preparation of a Corrective Action Report.

This project is a renovation of the basement, intermediate entry level, and first level of Hunter Hall, a four story former women’s dormitory on the Kentucky State University campus. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to minimum selective demolition, updating mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, finishes, and installing a new elevator and shaft. An ADA wheelchair lift will also be installed in the existing fire stair. Demolition will be required for the new restrooms. A new roof and flashings will be provided for the first floor entry level only. The existing level three roof will remain.

TURF FIELD AND LIGHTING REPLACEMENT
The B&F Gulf Service Station is a former retail petroleum facility located in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. Releases of petroleum from this facility have resulted in soil, groundwater, and vapor-phase contamination at on-site and off-site locations. The Kentucky Division of Waste Management, Underground Storage Tank Branch is requesting site investigation and remedial actions at this facility. Remedial actions to be performed at the site include excavation of approximately 3,100 tons of petroleum-contaminated soil along with an open-pit application of remedial amendment. Site investigation tasks include borehole geophysical logging, bedrock monitoring well installations, and groundwater monitoring. Upon completion of the site investigation and remedial actions, the project site will be restored to its previous condition. The required deliverables include Project Work Plans and Completion Submittals.
