new interior 750 kilo-volt-ampere generator and connect in parallel with the existing two. In
this configuration, two generators will support the facility. The third generator will be
redundant and allow for routine maintenance without compromising the emergency operation
of the hospital. The resulting design capacity will be 1800 ampere at 480 volts. This additional
generator will be placed in the existing paint shop and two adjacent storage areas.

The project consists selective demolition and subsequent renovation of areas within the Buechel National Guard Readiness Center located in Buechel, Jefferson County, KY. Work includes demolition of existing Men’s Latrine, including removal and subsequent offsite disposal of existing architectural finishes, plaster ceiling system, ceramic tile flooring, doors, frames & hardware, glazed tile and concrete masonry partitions required to accommodate new building improvements. In addition work includes cutting of new openings to accommodate installation of a new Lactation Room in an existing storage space between Office 110 and the Women’s Latrine.
New work to be performed includes installation of new Men’s Latrine including fixtures and finishes, erection of new light gage metal stud and gypsum board partitions, new hollow metal doors and frames, new door hardware, new ceramic tile, solid surfacing shower enclosures, new acoustic tile ceilings, new carpet tile, MMA flooring, and limited plastic laminate casework. Mechanical improvements include new plumbing and piping, removal and reinstallation of existing VRF cassette, installation of a new panel heater, and associated systems controls. Electrical work includes new circuitry, lighting, conduit, fixtures and trim.
In association with the cited improvements, proposed work to be performed under the contract includes the abatement of asbestos containing materials (ACM) associated with pipe insulation on active water lines. The abatement contractor will use glove bag methods to abate the identified thermal system insulation consisting of air cell and associated elbows and fittings, and will conduct air monitoring for clearance sampling prior to releasing the area to the general contractor to recommence work.
Abatement tasks to be performed include: securing approval from a Subtitle D landfill, coordination with general contractor to protect existing facilities, demolition of ceiling areas to access the ACM, abatement of the ACM using glove bag methods, air monitoring as appropriate to determine areas is clear for occupancy prior to releasing area back to the general contractor.
The Project has two (2) additive Alternates, which if accepted will become part of the work. Add Alternate No. 1 includes removal and replacement of existing light fixtures throughout the Readiness Center at locations shown. Add Alternate No. 2 includes the removal and replacement of two washbasins, one single and one double, and associated fixtures in the Women’s Latrine.

Project Description:
This project is for the construction of a 60’-3″ long x 62-0″ wide x 10’ high concrete structure with an interior concrete pad and concrete entrance apron for the purpose of bulk storage of roadway, deicing salt.
Class “A” concrete to be reinforced with epoxy coated rebar & fiber, which shall be used throughout the shallow, spread footing and walls. The Contractor shall be required to perform all excavation, filling, grading, & compaction of sub-grade and sub-base necessary for the construction of footing, interior pad, and entrance apron.
Concrete walls will be ten (10) feet high, will be twelve (12) inches thick, will be constructed on the concrete footing, and will support a pre-engineered, membrane covered (roof) structure (PMCS) with trusses on twelve (12) on-centers. The roof structure is to be furnished and installed separately by Bulk Storage, Inc., per their current Master Agreement upon completion of the footing and walls under this contract. The (PMCS) is not a part of this Scope of Work.
Nine (9) inch thick, Class “AA” concrete modified with fiber & epoxy coated rebar, concrete slabs shall be placed inside the footing and at the entrance on the exterior of the structure.
This project is to be bid LUMP SUM. This bid shall include all labor, equipment, materials, and any incidentals necessary to complete the items of work detailed in plans and herein. Contractor shall be responsible for determining actual quantities to be used to construct this structure as shown on plans and described herein
