Project Description: The re-bid scope will include the site work, concrete for the metal building system,
and the shell metal building system with insulation as described in section 01900 of the volume 1 project
manual. The scope of the entire project will consist of a new 18,598 SF facility located on the high school
campus. Fleming Center (LAVEC) will be a vocational learning facility for both the Fleming County
Schools and the local community. The program will include a large multi-purpose space, indoor lineman
training area, lecture hall, classroom, conference room, trophy lobby, and 2 lab/work areas.

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System, Office for Facilities Support Services, on behalf of Southeast KY Community and Technical College (SECTC) desires to procure professional engineering services and an associated project team to accomplish a HVAC Upgrades to the following buildings on multiple campuses of the Community and Technical College. Harlan Mining Building (Replace water source heat pumps, boilers, and cooling tower); Harlan Tech Building (RTU unit replacement, WSHP replacement and connect to new controls); Middlesboro Administration Building (Boiler and chiller replacement, AHU rebuild, VAV replacement, exhaust fans); Middlesboro Classroom Building (Boiler and chiller replacement, AHU rebuild, VAV replacement, exhaust fans); and, Middlesboro Science & Tech Building (Boiler and chiller replacement, AHU rebuild, VAV replacement, exhaust fans, and replacement of unit heaters). The Consultant will be asked to evaluate all project scope, as indicated above, and provide cost estimates for the necessary work during Phase A of the project. The final scope of the project will be determined during Phase A design of this project.

This Contract: (Phase 2, Contract “A”) Construction of a 100,000 Gallon Elevated Water Storage
Tank as per the plans and specifications. The work includes the design, fabrication, construction,
painting, disinfection and testing of an elevated, welded carbon steel water storage tank (commonly
referred to as a “Multi-Column” Tank). Contract “A” Re-bid includes a pad ready site with the
access road constructed.

appurtenances along Hodge Road (Alt 1) and the installation of approximately 1,000 L.F.
of 16” PVC C900 waterline with all necessary appurtenances near North Laurel High
School (Alt 2). Contract 3 consists of constructing a 139,000-gallon water storage tank
and all necessary appurtenances.

Louisville Water Company is requesting Bids for the demolition of existing PRV station and installation of new concrete or steel vault PRV station, 35 +/- linear feet of six (6) inch ductile iron water main, and associated grass paver system for pull off area.

The Company’s Project Manager’s estimate for the Contract plus Company supplied materials for this Project is $250,001 – $500,000. If the Company’s Project Manager’s estimate for the Contract plus Company supplied materials exceeds $250,000: a Bid Bond is required. For this Contract, a Bid Bond is required.

The Company will award the Contract to the Bidder presenting a Bid that is responsive to the Specifications, is in substantial compliance with the Contract requirements, and presents the lowest and best price for performing the Work making up the base bid and or Bid that Company determines is in the Company’s best interest, which may not necessarily be the least expensive

The project will grout remaining voids in an AML eligible underground coal mine in the #11 Coal Seam known locally as the Grapevine Mine. The Dorothy Moore residence and surrounding residences have been damaged by mining subsidence. A sinkhole depression has been verified by comparing current Lidar topography to 2021 Lidar topography.
Neighboring properties also show surface expression of the mine subsidence.

The Project consists of
construction services for the Mountain Water District proposed Fish Trap Water Line Replacement
Project which will consist of installation of 1,850 LF of 10” ductile iron pipe, 550 LF of 4” ductile iron
pipe, 4,900 LF of 4” PVC water line, three (3) road bores, one valve vault, 330 LF directional bore of
10” DHPE pipe, and all related appurtenances located near Millard in Pike County, Kentucky.
The existing RCC KCI Farm Cattle Barn is being replaced with a 40’ X 60’ new barn consisting of wood framed superstructure embedded into a concrete foundation. The roof is framed with shop fabricated wood trusses and the roof and walls are sheathed with metal panels. New 4×6 fence post and 2×6 fencing frame the cattle pens that are gated off with new cattle gates to accommodate the flow of the cattle for the operations taking place with the cattle inside the barn area. New roadway improvements to and around the New Barn are included in the base bid.

The Project includes the following Work:
Upgrading the existing Slone Fork BPS and installation of approximately 2,500 LF of HDPE waterline with
associated appurtenances.
Cherry Hall is located on the top of the hill at WKU at 1906 College Heights Blvd. The project
includes complete interior demolition and renovation to create modern classrooms, student
collaboration spaces, a new 3-story interior atrium, and faculty offices. New fire protection,
plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems will be provided as part of the renovation. Building
enclosure modifications and upgrades will also be completed including a new entrance at the
rear of the building (Hilltop side), roofing replacement, window replacement, masonry
restoration & cleaning, and foundation waterproofing replacement. The courtyard will be
reconfigured to provide new outdoor spaces. New landscaping will be provided throughout the
perimeter of the building. Although the project includes many new features, care will be taken to
preserve, reuse, and maintain historical components of the building including the marble
staircases, the marble paneling, base, & trim, and the patinated, copper dome.

The Elizabethtown Community & Technical College Occupational Technology Building Renovation Phase 1 will be
for a 38,000 square foot renovation to address crucial upgrades to the building’s infrastructure, including electrical,
mechanical, and plumbing systems, a new interior layout to the floor plan, and modernizing the exterior envelope.
The new building layout will expand training spaces for Welding, CAD, Electrical Technology, and Robotics,
including new classrooms & labs plus providing updated accessible restrooms and a new I.T. suite to serve the
campus. The entire facade will be re-clad with new metal panels, storefront & curtain walls, and brick veneer. There
are focused sections of the roof that get replaced or patched. The Phase 1 documents have been broken down into
two separate phases consisting of PHASE 1A and PHASE 1B. The PHASE 1A scope is to include ALL
sitework and exterior improvements for the Complete Project and the 13,500 square foot addition in its
entirety (ALL Trades). All Drawings have a match line that delineates this boundary of construction phasing
within the Phase 1 project documents. Please see Alternates for the additional work required in the Phase 1A
scope of work base bid by Trade Contractors.
OTB 100 will receive a new 13,500 square foot Advanced Manufacturing Center addition that will serve as a
cutting-edge hub for Machine Tooling, Computerized Manufacturing, & Industrial Maintenance programs. The
addition will feature an open-lab concept, a series of flexible classrooms, public restrooms and mechanical space.
The sitework to the North and West of the project will feature new paving and a new road connection to the adjacent
parking lot.
The mechanical system will be VAV with two central AHUs using chilled water from existing chiller in adjacent
building RPC and hydronic boilers for VAV reheat. 480V, 3-phase electrical service will be provided with utility
transformers in a new location, and a new main distribution panel will be in a new electric room. The building will
be fully sprinklered.
