The project involves new construction of an approximately 5,800 square foot building. The primary structural systems are load bearing Insulated Concrete Form walls and metal stud load bearing walls. The roof consists of standing seam steel panels on Structural Insulated Panels bearing on Laminated Veneer Lumber perlins and steel joist girders. Openings in the exterior include aluminum framed storefronts, sectional overhead garage doors, skylights and hollow metal doors and frames. Steel siding is the exterior cladding material for the building. The interior finishes include ceramic tile, polished concrete, painted gypsum wall board, resilient wall base, and acoustical panels ceilings. The mechanical system will include a high efficiency heat pump with heat recovery for fresh air intake. Electric unit heaters will be used in the garage portion of the building. The rest rooms include convential fixtures and a shower unit in both mens and womens. In addition to building electric service, a generator transfer switch, and IT wiring and components are included. Alternate bids include installation of radiant floor heat piping and installation of an additional parking lot.

The base bid includes the 2-Ply SBS-Modified Bituminous Membrane Roofing over nailed base sheet and one layer of roof insulation, in hot asphalt. Remove existing roof membrane system down to existing lightweight concrete fill deck or gypsum deck, making repairs to deck as required. Provide new metal components; e.g. 2-piece metal counter flashings, rake/fascia metal edge, slip-up MCF, roof drain leads, plumbing vent flashings, etc.
Install new metal wall panels over masonry walls of the penthouse and metal panel walls of the mechanical room.

Work includes providing all required material, labor and equipment to perform selective demolition and associated reconstruction of project improvements as hereinafter described.
Work includes but is not limited to complete removal and replacement of (2) existing roofs on one (1) Field Maintenance Shop building (FMS #5) at Boone National Guard Center in Frankfort, Kentucky. The two roofs consist of the original bituminous roof with a second overlaid membrane roof on recovery board. Felts in the existing roof have been determined to be asbestos containing materials and are to be removed and disposed of accordingly.
The new roof is to be a cold applied 2-ply cool white modified bitumen roof installed over cover board and rigid foam insulation. In addition, work includes installation of a new aluminum parapet wall cap and modifications to existing galvanized metal scuppers. All work shall be covered by a 20-year No Dollar Limit system warranty.
