The scope of work includes the installation of new concrete sidewalks, ADA ramps, cast in place concrete walls with form liner finish, cast in place concrete seat walls, header curb, integral curb and walk, stepped integral curb and walk, concrete aprons, landscaping, guardrails and handrails, tree grates, concrete stairs, yard inlets, 4″ storm piping, unit paving, bituminous pavement patching, and parking striping.

Haggin Field Honors ousing is a new 600 bed dorm located on University of Kentucky’s campus next to the existing Haggin Hall. The new dorm will be approximately 160,000 sf comprised of 2 buildings that are 4 stories. The south building will have a wing that will consist of approximately 7800 sf basement. It will be a wood framed structure with floor and roof trusses. The bedrooms will be in a suite style with 4 beds sharing a common bath. The exterior facade consists of brick and aluminum storefronts. Site improvements include new site utilities and a plaza between the buildings.
Request for Proposal 1 is engaging MEP contractors to design and build Haggin Field Honors Housing based on the 50% bridging documents provided. The awarded contractors will be the designer of record. The MEP contractors will work with Sherman Carter Barnhart to complete the design, procure, build , and commission the MEP systems for the Project.

15600 Turner Road in Crittenden Kentucky. The scope of the project is to include the
removal of (6) six water closets located in the facility detention rooms, and replace
them with combination lavatory/water closet units. Some general trade work related to
masonry, carpentry, and concrete will be required.

The work includes the renovation of the existing school with new additions for a total of 72,592 SF. The existing single story school has approximately 58,546 SF and the net additions equal 14,046 SF. James Lane Allen Elementary School was built in 1957 with major building additions in 1968 (classrooms), 1986 (media center & classrooms), 1994 (new boiler room), 1995 (roof replacement), and an undated cafeteria expansion. The scope of work for this current major construction project includes, but is not limited to: Building demolition of existing kitchen, cafeteria, and administration offices within a floor area of approximately 11,172 SF. Selective demolition in the remaining 47,374 SF of existing structure includes removal and replacement of non-load bearing classroom window walls, removal and replacement of mechanical systems (including installation of new variable refrigerant volume systems), removal and replacement of existing electrical systems, fire protection, fire alarm systems, interior finishes (walls, ceilings, floor and base), door hardware, site improvements and paving. New construction of approximately 25,218 SF consists of kitchen and equipment, cafeteria, administration office area, the addition of 8 classrooms, and several secondary entry vestibules. The work will be executed in three principal phases beginning June 2012 and ending December 2013. The building will be occupied during all phases of construction work.
