The demolition of drywall and 6″ floor base as shown on Drawings and specifictions; installation of new drywall on all interior walls; installation of new 20 doors and hardware sets; removal and installation of select lights and air vents; removal of all damaged floor VCT and installation of new tile to replace them; Application of biocide over all removed drywall areas and paint all wall and ceiling surfaces and frames; remove all painted light switchs, outlets, etc. as called for in Specifications and replace with new ones to match the existing that are to be removed; patch and repair any damaged drywall walls and ceilings that are to remain.
This project will provide for the installation of a 10’ x 6’ concrete box culvert and all appurtenant work. Project is located on Franelm Road at Bruce Creek in the Merlyn Acres Subdivision, Louisville Metro Council District 25.

The proposed work consists of the restoration and enhancement using Natural Channel Design techniques of approximately 8,562 linear feet of stream including Elm Fork, Minors Creek, and six headwater tributaries. Tasks to be performed in order to achieve project goals include construction of proposed channel benches; excavation of proposed floodplains; reshaping of existing channels; construction of in-stream structures; preparation of soil for seeding; native planting and seeding; installation of erosion control fabric and mulch; and harvesting, transporting, installing, and maintaining live stake and vegetative materials. Elm Fork, Minors Creek, and their tributaries are first, third, and fourth order streams with intermittent and perennial flow regimes. The project will involve the restoration of approximately 4,549 linear feet of Elm Fork, 2,109 linear feet of Minors Creek, and 1,904 linear feet of tributaries. Restoration will include in-stream structures such as log vane/rootwad combinations, toe wood/sod mat, live brush layering, rock and log step pools, rock cross vanes, and constructed riffles as well as vegetation of the stream banks and establishment of a forested riparian corridor against the stream.

The Work includes removing fluid applied floor coating down to existing concrete slab at areas indicated on drawings (approximately 1,189 sf). New quarry tile will be installed over the same area which includes, toilet areas, lavatory areas, a laundry area, storage areas, dressing area, and a shower area. The shower and dressing areas are to also receive electric resistance radiant heating systems beneath the new tile to help reduce mold and mildew in these areas. The shower area is 11’ x 15’ and currently utilizes two 6 head gang shower pillars. These gang shower pillars will be removed and replaced with 10 shower stalls, 3’ x 3’, each stall with its own drain and surface mounted shower supply tower. Shower stall partitions will be floor mounted, overhead braced solid plastic type with breakaway curtains, no doors. The Work also includes cleaning existing C.M.U. walls and painting them with mold and mildew resistant paint. As an alternate to the paint in the shower area, the Work will include 1/4” solid surfacing wall panels from the top of the tile base to the ceiling. The Work also includes replacing a substantial portion of the existing plumbing, both supply and waste. The work area is a over an unfinished basement making the existing plumbing easily accessible. The Work also includes a new ductless HVAC system and additional ceiling lighting. Refer to drawings and specifications for additional information.

The Boone National Guard Center DMA HRO Demolition package consists of two buildings and associate site grading. Building 1 (HRO) is a two story structure that includes a two story covered porch. The structure consists of steel structural framing, wood truss roof framing, and concrete slab on grade with footers. Exterior walls include brick and vinyl cladding. Building 2 (EST) is a five year old pre-engineered metal building, slab on grade with concrete piers.
General concrete sidewalk and curb maintenance and construction and new sidewalk and curb construction work to be performed for the City of Frankfort on an as needed, cafeteria style project scope with bid unit prices to remain in affect for a period of one-year from the stated bid opening.

Shelbyville Group Home

This project involves renovating two bathrooms in the Shelbyville Group Home. The bathrooms are similar except one has a roll in shower and one has a bath tub. The demolition of the project will include removal of the floor, the existing fixtures, and the existing gypsum board from 4’-0” to the floor. New subfloor and joist will be installed. In areas to receive mud set sloped tile floor the joists will be recessed. Both bathrooms will receive new tile floors. A new tile roll in shower will be installed as will a new tub. The toilet and associated grab bars can be salvaged and reinstalled. The vanities will be replaced with new wall mount porcelain lavatories. A goal of the project is to provide durable finishes that will stand up to a high use level. The project includes two alternate bid items which are to renovate the remaining two bathrooms in the same building.

The work includes the construction of three 56.42 ft. diameter, concrete filled, steel
sheet pile cellular structures and connecting arc cells along a baseline located at 68.1
ft. upstream and running parallel to the existing Lock and Dam No. 8. The work also
consists of site preparation, water control with fluctuating river levels, east and west
abutment features tie ins, lock chamber modifications, foundation improvements,
channel lining bank protection features, selective demolition, site restoration and
seeding. The west abutment features include the construction of the West Closure Cell
and the West Concrete Control Section. East abutment features include the
construction of the Upper Guard Pier and Lock Wall Connection Cell. Modifications to
the lock chamber will consist of retrofitting the existing concrete bulkhead wall with a
sluice gate and construction of a concrete splash pad immediately downstream of the
concrete bulkhead wall. Foundation improvements will consist of a combination of a
double row grout curtain and a concrete secant wall. The grout curtain will extend from
the left abutment to the right abutment along the alignment of the new dam, existing
lock river wall and upper sill. The concrete secant wall will be positioned near the
middle of the channel to address a region concentrated with highly fractured zones and
voids identified during the geotechnical exploration program. Demolition work shall
include the removal of two existing upper guard piers and selective demolition of the
existing bulkhead wall and the upper gates. The work shall also include access road
construction and/or maintenance.
