The project includes a complete roof replacement on the Lodge at Blue Licks
Battlefield State Resort Park, Nicholas County, Kentucky. The Lodge was constructed
in phases and consequently has roofs of various ages and types. The roof was
damaged in a wind storm in 2012. Temporary repairs have been made to secure the
buildings until this project begins. Predominately the project consists of individual lodge
and room unit buildings with medium pitch asphalt shingle roofs. The lodge building
has one area that is a low slope (flat roof) modified bitumen roof with internal roof
drains. The asphalt shingles are installed over standard plywood roof sheathing. Most
if not all areas have one layer of shingles. Perimeter wood trims are in sound condition
and will remain. Existing metal trims, drip edges, flashings and counter flashings will be
removed and replaced with new materials. New ridge vents will be installed in all
previous locations. A new asphalt shingle roof with a 40 year warranty will be installed
at sloped roofs over ice and weather shield covering the eaves, penetrations and
valleys. Flat roof areas shall be re-roofed with a two-ply modified bitumen membrane
adhered with cold adhesive. Mechanical exhausts will be flashed and tied into the new
roof system.
31th Annual Construction Grant
Drainage from abandoned mine openings have caused a slide near the Coleman residence. During this project, AML plans to close the mine openings and draining them in a controlled manner. A rock line ditch and ECB ditch with subdrains will be constructed to collect all drainage and direct it to a natural drain. The material from the slide will be removed and a rectangular concrete ditch with a wall will be constructed. Waste from the slide will be wasted on site in the residence’s yard and graded on the slope. No disturbance of any stream reach is planned. Other than trees in the active slide area, no trees greater than 5” in diameter will be disturbed during October 15th-March 31st. For continued description, see Special Conditions.

The project will consists of a variety of rehabilitation/renovation elements to include the removal of current park amenitie4s; installation of trenching and conduit work for lighting; installation, repair, and/or replacement of sidewalks; installation of other park amenities such as trash receptacles and benches; installation of splash pad water feature; installation of sheltered picnic area; installation of tennis courts; and installation of landscaping.
This project includes the relocation of an existing generator from the former City Hall building located at 118 College Street to the new City Hall building located at 243 Main Street, and all associated electrical work.
The project is located in Crestwood, KY and consists of CIPP Lining of 8-inch diameter pipes (1,415 LF), Clean and Inspect 8-inch diameter pipes (20,415 LF), open cut point repairs (17 EA), and lateral tophats (14 EA). Additional items include Manhole Epoxy Coating (137 EA), Manhole Chimney Seals (167 EA), Manhole Locate and Raise to Grade (206 EA), Manhole Realign Frame and Rings (77 EA), Manhole Replace Frame and Lid (43 EA), Water-Tight Manhole Frame and Lid (122 EA), and other related miscellaneous items.
Project consists of new metal roof, tile roof restoration, fascia and soffit replacement, window and door restoration, repair and rebuild architectural woodwork, minor demolition and construction.

This project consists of various upgrading of HVAC Control Systems for West Community and Technical College in Paducah, Kentucky. The work generally consists of the following improvements: demolition of existing HVAC controls and selective HVAC equipment, installation of new HVAC controls, integration of new and existing HVAC controls system into the campus’ existing Tridium System and installation of mechanical components in existing air handlers. All work shall be performed as to not to disturb ongoing school actifvities.

This Work includes the construction of a 766 sf office building at Mile 38, I-64 East
Bound, Shelby County, Kentucky. The building is slab on grade with brick veneer,
wood trusses, asphalt shingle roofing. Typical truss bearing is at 10’0, typical ceiling is
2×4 acoustic tile at 8’-0”. Typical wall finish is painted gypsum board, typical floor finish
is 1/8” VCT over concrete slab with porcelain tile in the public restroom. Typical
interior doors are painted solid core wood (flush slab) in hollow metal frames, exterior
doors and windows are aluminum storefront system, with one door being exterior
hollow metal in a hollow metal frame. The following rooms and functions will be
accommodated, work area for state troopers, customer service area, private office,
break area with kitchenette, storage closet, custodial closet, private accessible
restroom, and public accessible restroom. The Work includes demolition and removal
off-site of existing brick structure down existing concrete foundation wall. The existing
building has a small basement area that will be backfilled with crushed stone. A
portion of the existing foundation wall will be re-used for the new building. The Work
includes various exterior improvements including a wall mount and conduit for a new
radio antenna and new concrete walks all around the new building. An accessible
parking space will be created on existing concrete paving. Refer to Project Drawings
and Specifications for additional information regarding the Work.
The work consists of, but not limited too; the removal of existing base material, gyp, board, wall framing, etc., to access the precast panels, to allow for new structural work, new framing, new finished panel, insulation, new window stool, etc.
The project consists of the installation of a synthetic turf system in the foul territory of the University of Kentucky baseball field located at Cliff Hagan Stadium. Work shall include preparation of removal and disposal of excavated material, preparation of subgrade, installation of drainage stone and subdrains, installation of the synthetic turf in-fill system, and associated improvements.
This project provides for the construction of: A ten million gallon per day pumping station and associated appurtenances; construction of approximately 100 linear feet of 36-inch gravity sewer; construction of approximately 110 linear feet of 30-inch gravity sewer; construction of approximately 240 linear feet of 10-inch gravity sewer; construction of approximately 30 linear feet of 24-inch force main; seven manholes, one diversion structure; landscaping; fencing; and other miscellaneous appurtenant work as indicated on the plans. These Specifications and the Drawings describe the work to be done and the materials to be furnished for the installation of the CAPITAL CITY AIRPORT HANGER RE-ROOFING PROJECT or projects, for THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY, TRANSPORTATION CABINET, Frankfort, Kentucky. The base bid work shall provide for the RE-ROOFING OF HANGER BUILDING 405. Alternate Bids are further described and solicited for inclusion of Building 402 and an additional section of low slope roof. The bids are to be inclusive of all accessories and miscellaneous work required to provide a complete water tight roofing system. The project is approximately +- 15,000 S.F. of roofing for hanger building 405 and 8500 s.f. for hanger building 402.

The proposed project (approximately 4.4 acres total) consist of drainage reclamation in Perry County. The project area is located on the United States Geological Survey (USGS) 7.5’ Hazard North quadrangle (see the attached project and site maps).
The Adam Stacy Site consists of installing drainage controls at the Adam Stacy residence. The site is located at 7696 Hwy 476, near the community of Bulan, KY. The project area is centrally. To reach the site from the Hwy 15 & Hwy 80 intersection near Hazard, take Hwy 80 North for approximately 3.9 miles. Turn right onto KY 1146 S/Hwy 476 towards Bulan. Continue 1.3 miles to the three-way stop and turn left onto KY 476N/KY 550E. Travel approximately 2.5 miles and arrive at the Adam Stacy residence on the left.
Reclamation work consists of installing a 230 foot long, 48 inch pipe with a manhole and two concrete headwalls, constructing 150 L.F. (linear feet) of a 4 foot high rectangular gabion ditch, and installing 50 L.F. of concrete block-tied mat ditch work. A permanent gabion weir will also be installed for silt control. The waste material generated during project work will be used on site in the grading portion of the project boundaries.
During the process of these construction activities, trees over 5 inches in diameter at breast height will have to be removed in the AML problem area and to install drainage controls. A sediment and erosion control program, consisting of such measures as constructing one silt check to be maintained throughout the life of the project and prompt re-vegetation using agricultural limestone, fertilizer, seed, and mulch will be
implemented on all areas disturbed by this project.
Entry to the work areas will be accessed by the county road, residential driveways, and residentially maintained yards. The entire project work area slated for any excavation has been previously disturbed by any or all of the following: coal mining operations, including mine drainage, timber operations, gas/oil well development, residential development, road construction, and/or high velocity water flows associated with heavy rain events and flooding. These disturbances consist of significant upheaval, mixing, and removal of earthen material from deep excavation, grading, sub-surface drilling, fill material placement, and erosion. There should be no undisturbed earthen material to a depth of several feet at the areas slated for significant project-related construction activities.
This project will include pre- and/or post- project maintenance and repair of existing previously constructed public county roads utilized during the construction of this project, which are administered by the county or local road authority. This construction activity will be conducted under the authority and supervision of the local public road authority and will consist of standard road construction practices appropriate to mitigate impacts to the local community from potential degraded road conditions in order to maintain public traffic safety. This project involves renovating four bathrooms in the Windsong Group Home. The bathrooms are similar except one has a roll in shower and three have a bath tub. The demolition will include removal of the floor, the existing fixtures and the existing gypsum board from 4′ to the floor. A new sub-floor and joist will be installed. All bathrooms will receive new tile floors and walls to 4′. A new tile roll in shower will be installed. New water closets will be installed. The vanities will be replaced with new wall mount solid surface countertops with new drop in sinks.
Repair all fire damage to the Visitor’s Center by installing new wood timber deck, new asphalt shingle roofing and painting at McConnell Springs, 416 Rebmann Lane, Lexington KY 40504.
The scope of work includes the construction of approximately 2000 linear feet of a 10’ wide shared used path, including asphalt paving, storm sewer pipe, drainage structures and pavement striping.
The general contractor and all subcontractors must be pre-qualified by the KY Department of Transportation for the appropriate “Contractor Work Classifications” with regards to the work functions they will perform.

The project scope includes preparation of the existing roof surface, and installation of a new, granulated SBS cap sheet at the GCEC. An aluminum coating shell shall also be placed over approximately 4,911 SF of built-up roofing at the Lancaster Elementary School
This project will renovate 7400 gross square feet or existing two-story Schmidt Vocal Arts Facility. Interior renovations will provide new Vocal Coaching Studios, Voice Studios, a new Music room, renovated first floor rehearsal space, new offices and support space for the College of Fine Arts, School of Music. Interior partitions and mechanical systems include sound transmission reducing components. The improvements will also include necessary upgrades of the building systems such as communications, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, fire safety and security.

This bid package will also include all UTP wiring required for Owner provided security cameras, wireless access points, projectors, and video displays to be connected to the data network.
