The Project involves replacement of the abandoned Electric Hydronic Boiler with a Gas-Fired Boiler in the K Building that serves the Green River Correctional Complex. An existing gas-fired boiler currently in service will remain; a new gas-fired boiler will be installed in place of the abandoned electric boiler to provide redundancy to the Hydronic piping system that serves heat pumps throughout the facility. The Shelia Blackburn site is located at 1927 Frozen Creek Road at Raccoon, KY. The site is located at coordinates LATITUDE: 37° 28′ 51.9″N, LONGITUDE: 82° 26′ 55.3″W.
AML proposes to construct a gabion retaining wall along the front yard to correct slippage, construct a subdrain behind the house to divert drainage to natural drains, and closure to portals with non-wildlife accessible closures. Any excavated material not used on-site to repair the slide in the front yard will be transported to, placed and revegetated at an approved waste located at latitude: 37° 30′ 45.4″N, longitude: 82° 28′ 46.5″W. Any woody materials requiring removal will be burned or otherwise suitably disposed of.
This project will address two underground mine openings, which will be closed with nonwildlife accessible closures. Trees in excess of 3” dbh will need to be removed to facilitate construction of the gabion wall and closure of the two mine portals. All areas disturbed by this project will be revegetated by conventional seeding practices and/or hydroseeding according to standard details and technical specifications. Sediment control will be provided by silt fence/bales or other approved methods.
Project Description: KFI Engineers (KFI) will be providing design and engineering services to upgrade the life safety systems in various buildings on multiple campuses of the Somerset Community and Technical College (SCTC). Included in the scope of work will be retrofits of fire sprinkler systems in multiple buildings and fire alarm/detection system upgrades.
Comprehensive fire alarm system replacement for Health Building #3 on Laurel North Campus; McCreary Center Building #1 and Arts Building #2 on McCreary Campus; Administration Building #3 on Somerset Community College South Campus; Alton Blakely on Somerset Community College North Campus; Lineman Training Center; and Valley Oak 580. New sprinkler systems at Harold D. Strunk Building and Meece Hall on Somerset Community College North Campus and Administration Building #3 on the Somerset Community College South Campus.
Project Description:
The Project involves replacement of HVAC systems that serve the Luther Luckett Correctional Complex SMU Dormitory. Work of the Project will be performed at the SMU Dormitory located within both the LLCC and SMU security boundaries. Two AHU systems with electric heat and associated return air fan will be removed from the Second Floor Mechanical Room. The condensing unit for each system located outdoor at grade will be removed. Three replacement AHU systems each including a return air fan and outdoor condensing unit will be installed. Gas fired boilers, pump and expansion tank will be added to provide hydronic heating. The natural gas service within the building will be upsized to serve the added loads. A third AHU system is being added to provide additional zoning of the building. Modification of the existing ductwork will be necessary for the added HVAC system zone. Select fire protection piping will be reworked to accommodate the ductwork modifications. An exhaust fan is being added in a Second Floor Storage Room. Electric work of the Project involves removals associated with AHU systems replacement. A branch circuit panelboard will be added with circuits serving AHU systems loads, boilers and exhaust fans. Lighting in the First and Second Floor Corridors and the Security Control rooms with be replaced with correctional grade LED fixtures connected to the existing lighting circuits. Suspended ceiling systems will be removed and reinstalled to allow ductwork modifications. All work must be performed in a sequenced effort coordinated with the LLCC. Work of the Project is multi-phased to allow relocation of Dormitory Population.

The 187,017s.f. concrete parking Garage will have 8,000 s.f. lease space, 720 s.f. security office and utility spaces. AML proposes to close one existing portal with a wildlife accessible closure, remove the erosive material adjacent to the home, remove an existing slide to rock slightly to the west of the home, and install subdrain and ditch to divert water from the home to an adjoining roadside ditch along Kentucky Route 1426. The culvert in the ditch will be replaced as part of this project. Additionally, a curb will be placed at the edge of the driveway to collect erosive material.
The project involves re-roof work at the Blackburn Correctional Complex in Lexington, KY. The project is for the Intake Building, Old Outside Weight Shed, Freezer Building, K/9 Office/Contraband Rooms, Post 2, Fuel Shed, Landscape Building, Landscape Office, Boiler Room, Old Masonry Shop, Medical Building, House/Resident Building, and Horticulture Building. The total roof square footage of work is 41,400 sf of roofing material to be removed and replaced. The existing roof system is shingle roofing. The new roof will be an asphalt shingle system. All roof coping caps, gutters, downspouts, flashings, accessories and terminations are to be replaced. Some buildings will receive new siding and soffit.
Work includes inspection and repairs to existing standing seam metal and granule surfaced modified bitumen roofing surfaces necessary to ensure surfaces are suitable for successful and warrantable application of 100% silicone coating system. Coating adhesion testing on both types of roofing surfaces shall be performed prior to application of coating. Final coating thickness shall be not less than 37 mil DFT. Area of standing seam metal roof surface is approximately 250 squares. Area of modified bitumen roof surface is approximately 85 squares. Upon completion, a 20-year No-Dollar-Limit warranty shall be furnished by the silicone coating manufacturer and an unconditional 2-year warranty shall be provided
by the roofing contractor.
The building is located on Kit Carson Drive on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University. The building houses a gymnasium, athletic workout areas, restrooms, offices and classrooms for the Department of Criminal Justice Training. Owner operations will continue during the roof work.

This Site will consist of the removal of a slide that has occurred near the top of a previous slide and placed in adjacent waste area. The construction of 2-48 foot 9 foot high Gabion Weirs in existing cut-to-rock ditch to control drainage from slide area. The Replacement of 20 Linear Foot of 36 inch HDPE pipe with one Sloped and Flared Headwall, clean out approximately 380 feet of existing drain of mine debris. The construction of 150 Liner Foot of Class III Ditch-4 foot flat bottom. The re-construction of a Swale Ditch at existing location in roadway accessing slide. Silt Checks-Rock will be installed as needed by Scientist on site at appropriate locations. Regrade and clean out approximately 1350 Linear Foot of existing roadway.
Project consists of replacement of existing steam fired domestic water storage tanks with new instantaneous steam fired water heaters. Additionally, the steam pressure reducing valve station is being replaced to eliminate medium pressure steam service. New steam relief valves and venting are being provided for the connected steam load.

The Contractor shall provide all of the materials and perform all the work described in the Specifications and/or shown on the Drawings. The Fire Alarm Life Safety System of the Warren RJDC will be upgraded per the Kentucky Building Code with Current Revisions, Americans with Disabilities Act, International Building Code, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code NFPA72, and National Electrical Code. An intelligent, addressable fire alarm system shall be provided in accordance with National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code requirements as well as the requirements of the State Fire Marshall’s Office. The system will comply with all manufacturers’ requirements and shall report compatible alarm signals to the remote central system via an externally mounted dialer. The fire alarm system will monitor any and all sprinkler system flow switches, tamper switches, kitchen hood monitor, elevator recall, and duct mounted smoke detectors as well as heat detectors and smoke detectors. Contractor is to include a one year monitoring service for the Fire Alarm System.
The Owner’s preferred daily work schedule shall be Monday-Thursday 10 hour/day. There are no Contractor working days on Friday-Sunday. A 48 hour notification is required for any outage of the existing Fire Alarm System. Any damaged utility by the Contractor must be put back into service immediately.

The proposed Kevin Calvin Slide High Priority AML Reclamation Project, approximately 10.5 acres total (3.5 acre @ site & 7.0 acre waste area), consists of the removal of slide material to rock and the installation of drainage controls at one site in the community of Teetersville.
Replace fire alarm control panels and all associated devices with new fire alarm systems in various buildings throughout many community college campuses. Replace all digital communicators or single path communicators from all buildings in this project with new dual path based communicators. Provide Cat 6 data cable from closest IT patch panel and connect to communicator for backup path.
Project Description: This project consists of reconstruction of roof structure, roofing, trims, gutters and downspouts caused by wind damage. Work includes selective demolition and reconstruction, and disposal of unsalvageable and dislodged original construction. Cleaning the work area of all debris caused by the construction of this work is included in this contract.
Construction is pole-barn type construction with lumber posts and framing, and exposed-fastener cladding.
Project Description: The intent of this project is to tuckpoint, repair spalled brick, and to demolish/cap the existing chimney on the Kentucky National Guard Armory in Carrollton Kentucky. The brick recovered from the chimney demolition is to be used to replace the spalled brick and other masonry damage to maintain a cohesive appearance. After all the brick repairs are completed, the brick is to be cleaned and sealed with a masonry sealer to protect and preserve the brick veneer.

The Project consists of a new 1-story, 10,750 square conditioned storage facility with support spaces located in the Boone National Guard Center in Frankfort, Kentucky. The building support spaces will be contained within the building envelope and include an office, restroom with shower, laundry area, and two sleeping rooms. Storage areas will consist of three areas: 1) Minimally conditioned general storage, 2) Conditioned Storage for temperature and humidity sensitive items, and 3) Vehicle storage bay. A covered loading dock with dock leveler and truck access will be located on the east side of the building.
The site will be mostly a fill site with a limited amount of cut to build a level building pad and small parking area at the front of the building. The building will sit roughly 4-feet above finished grade along the rear of the building and at the loading dock.

Plumbing improvements include installation of four new electric water heaters, new panel boards and circuits for emergency power. A new potable hot water recirculation loop will be installed throughout the building and heat trace will be deactivated. Installation of a new emergency water distribution system with self-priming pump will deliver non-potable water to selected janitor mop sinks throughout the building.

cured-in-place pipe in sanitary mains, ranging in diameter from 12 to 30 inches, approximately 18 associated laterals to be
lined using cured-in-place pipe for approximately 350 linear feet, and approximately 11 open-cut point repairs. This project
also includes inspection of approximately 40 sanitary manholes with potential for subsequent rehabilitation including
replacement of manhole castings and chimney seals, installation of approximately 6 new sanitary manholes, and installation of
approximately 250 vertical feet of manhole epoxy coating. The project includes all erosion control, ground restoration and
