14-01 / Crescent Hill Filter Plant 480 Volt Distribution System Rehabilitation
Louisville Water Company is requesting bids to remove the existing 480 volt system at the Crescent Hill Pump Station and Chemical Building, install a new 480 Volt Distribution System including miscellaneous/appurtenant items and structural, architectural, and HVAC work. Removal of 150 cubic feet of soda ash from Storage Silo No. 7. The work to be performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals and performing all work required to construct complete in place and ready to operate the 480 volt distribution systems in the existing Chemical Building and in the Crescent Hill Pump Station. This includes the demolition and legal off-site disposal of the existing 480 volt distribution systems in the Crescent Hill Pump Station and Chemical Building including transformers, switchgear, motor control center and other miscellaneous and appurtenant items, installation of new 480 volt distribution systems including transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, instrumentation/controls, wire, conduit, miscellaneous and appurtenant electrical items. This work includes all necessary demolition work, structural, architectural, HVAC, and electrical work and all other services required to complete the work. Also included is the demolition and legal off-site disposal of the existing copper sulfate and soda ash feed systems and appurtenances in the Chemical Building and removal of 150 cubic feet of soda ash in Storage Silo No. 7 including legal off-site disposal. A mandatory pre-bid meeting to discuss the project will be held on May 8 , 2014 at 9:00 A.M. local time at the site location Crescent Hill Filter Plant, 3018 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky. Attendance at this meeting is required. Questions related to this Project must be submitted in writing via e-mail or fax by May 14 , 2014. Bids will only be accepted from Bidders who have been pre-qualified by the Company in the pre-qualification category or categories that apply to this Bid. Construction Quality Control Testing and Special Inspection Services on the new Campus Recreation Center Renovation and Expansion project. The overall scope for this project is to renovate and expand the existing A.D.
This project will provide a left turn lane into the Board property along KY80. All of the widening will occur on the Board property side of KY 80 in the existing right of way. This avoids impacts tot he residents on the opposite side of KY 80. Grading and drainage modifications are also part of this work. This project also includes relocation of an existing concrete sidewalk. Utilities have been relocated by owner. Contractor shall coordinate turn lane work with owner, utility companies, and adjacent property currently under construction.
This project will replace an existing aged HVAC system throughout the building, add a secure entry vestibule and renovate the existing Auditorium with new finishes. Exterior improvements include a new Synthetic Turf Football Field, a new Pressbox at the grandstands. Two new freestanding buildings will accommodate the exterior improvements; a new Pressbox/Concessions Stand/RR at the baseball field and a new Lock Room/Concessions Stand/RR at the Football Field.
The removal and replacement of the cooper roofing at the garage and pergola; includes the replacement and refinishing of the pergola/garage wood members and pergola columns. Includes complete paint removal and repair of the soffit and brackets of the garage and repaint those wood members, rebuilding of a portion of the knee wall at the pergola and repointing of the damaged floor tile joints.
The Academic Science Building project is a new three story laboratory building located on the 600 block of Rose Street between Hilltop Ave and Huguelet Street. Including the partial basement and the penthouse space above the third floor, the building consists of an approximate total floor area of 240,000 square feet.
The work of this project consists of site preparation with the complete removal of three existing buildings and the relocation and reworking of site utilities; new construction of reinforced concrete foundations and drilled piers, grade beams and basement foundation walls, upon which will support structural streel framing with composite floor decks above grade and at-grade slab on grade; exterior insulated brick masonry veneer, metal cladding, glazed curtain wall fenestration and roofing on metal decking make up the building envelope; interiors consisting of gypsum walls and ceiling and other advanced and wall appointed interior finishes complete this most technologically advanced academic learning center in the sciences. Efficient and sustainable heating, cooling, lighting, and communications systems are incorporated for comfort, energy conservation, and ease of operation.

This project consists of the removal of two underground, 12,000 gallon UST’s and their components, the construction of an above ground fuel farm that includes a 12,000 gallon Jet A and 100LL fuel tank and their components, the construction of a 50’x50’ concrete fueling apron and an additive alternate for a 50’x50’ concrete helicopter parking pad.
Louisville Water Company is requesting Bids for the installation of 1,070 +/- linear feet of 20-inch Pressure Class 350 ductile iron water main (using traditional trench installation techniques), the installation of 80 +/- linear feet of 8-inch Pressure Class 350 ductile iron water main (using traditional trench installation techniques), Also included with the project is the installation of 2 +/- fire hydrants and the transfer, renewal, relocation or discontinue of 21 +/- customer services.
Phase 1, Zone 3 is an interior renovation project of approximately 1325 square feet at the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital Pavilion H, Floor 3 Pediatrics nursing unit. Project limits are 4 patient rooms and associated staff charting and hand-washing areas. Phasing will be in two parks, allowing for patient occupancy of 2 rooms for the duration of the project. Scope of work shall be primarily flooring, wall and ceiling finishes, as well as upgrades to room identification, plumbing, lighting, and electrical fixtures, and door hardware.
