Excavate the portal and install a non-wildlife accessible pipe closure. Install an 8” drainage pipe from the portal drain down the hill to a dropbox structure. Construct a combination ECB ditch and subdrain along the toe of the hillside tied in the dropbox structure. From the dropbox take the drainage to a second dropbox structure at the edge of the driveway and existing deck structure via a new 8” HDPE pipe. From the second dropbox install a 12” HDPE pipe to a new dropbox by the county roadway. There is a gas line running along the county road. Place the box between the gas line and the county road if possible. From the last dropbox install an 18” RCP pipe under the county road and concrete headwall into the stream bank. Bed the RCP in flowable fill and install the concrete headwall recessed into the stream bank and below the existing grade.

Most of the work includes replacement of pole lights with matching anchor bolt pattern using existing concrete pole bases, replacement of existing branch circuit wiring with new using existing underground branch circuit conduits, connections to various service panels, and replacement of some concrete pole bases.

This project consists of two, five-story dorms that are mirror images of one another. There is approximately 400 total dorm rooms with some fitness, office and study support spaces.
The buildings structure is concrete with some structural steel support and steel canopies. The façade is brick, storefront, formed metal panels and metal siding with metal stud backup. The dorm windows are vinyl. The interior spaces will be metal stud and gypsum walls, vinyl tile and carpeting.
The site will be developed with new utilities, concrete pavements, and furnishings.
This is a LEED project striving for a goal of Certified.

Art in Motion and Lextran seek bids from contractors for an innovative project involving construction of two custom, artistic transit shelters to be located on Southland Drive in front of the Good Foods Co-op and on Leestown Road at the entrance to the Townley Center in Lexington, KY. The project is being funded through a $150,000 federal/state grant along with matching funds from Lextran and local businesses.

The Isaac Murphy Memorial Garden Trailhead is a community park that will incorporate site amenities to encourage social gatherings and serve as a “starting point” for The Legacy Trail at the east end of town. New curbs, sidewalks, seat walls, bike racks, water fountains, flagpoles, landscaping and am amphitheater will provide opportunities for visitors to enjoy the space as well as utilize it as a connection to The Legacy Trail.
The entire 28,000 square feet of existing Dana Hall will be completely renovated and approximately 8,700 square feet of additions constructed on the east end of the four-story dormitory and onto the second floor perimeter of the two story entry-commons areas on the south side of the building. The infill area between the dormitory and the entry-commons area will be expanded to contain a new elevator, a new stair, a new mechanical penthouse and expansion area for the dormitory showers.
The east end addition will contain a study room and an RA dormitory room on each of the four dormitory floors, whereas the addition to the two story entry-commons area contains a coffee bar, accessible toilet rooms, TV viewing and game spaces, additional lounge and gathering space, and an apartment. The roof of the two story entry-commons space will be utilized as a roof terrace.
The buildings mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems will be replaced and updated as part of the project to provide not only a quality housing environment but also compliance with life safety and accessibility codes.
