MFWQTC Wet Cake Pump
The MFWQTC currently transports dewatered biosolids (wet cake) through two sets of screw conveyors to the dryer trains. Occasionally, wet cake must be diverted from the drying process. This diversion is currently done by using Screw Conveyors 13 and 14 to transfer wet cake from Screw Conveyors 7 and 8 (located in the 6th floor of the Main Equipment Building) to reversible direction Screw Conveyor 15 (located in Truck Bay #1). Screw Conveyor 15 transports wet cake to either the existing Wet Cake Hopper (to be recycled back through the system) or to a truck (for removal from the site). The purpose of this project is to create a back-up to Screw Conveyors 13, 14 and 15 by installing a Wet Cake Pump to pump wet cake from Screw Conveyors 7 and 8 out to the Truck Bay for discharge to either the Wet Cake Hopper or to a truck.

AML Reclamation Project
Estimate:
$284,000.00
The slide is located on the property of Larry Willis and Porter Willis. Beginning at Williamsburg, travel on Route 92 East 9.2 miles to Maple Creek Road. Take a left onto Maple Creek Road and travel 1.3 miles to Maple Creek Subdivision Road. Take a right on to Maple Creek Subdivision Road and travel 0.2 miles to the top of the hill and turn right to the location. This is above the slide.
Main access to the site will be from the existing bench above the slide. Access below the slide will be for the purpose to reconstruct the existing ditch and to provide rock for the ditches.
The project site has been previously disturbed by coal mining operations. This project will consist of stabilizing the slide. Construction disturbances will be kept to a minimum through the use of a stringently formulated sediment and erosion control program. This consists of silt traps, silt fencing and straw bales maintained throughout the life of the project, followed by prompt re-vegetation of the areas disturbed by the project.
The site has been drilled and the depth to rock ranged from 5 feet to 40 feet. Due to the depth to rock not all unconsolidated material will be removed from the slide. For continued project description see Special Conditions
