The Work of the Project consists of site preparation with the complete removal of the existing 1963, 1982 and 2008 additions to the 1938 Student Union Building, including hazardous materials abatement; the relocation and reworking of site utilities; new construction of reinforced concrete foundations of footings and piers, grade beams and foundation walls, upon which will support structural steel framing with composite floor decks above grade and at-grade slabs on grade; exterior insulated brick masonry veneer, metal cladding, glazed curtain wall fenestration and roofing on metal decking containing clerestory and sky-lighting features which make up the building envelope; interiors consisting of gypsum and glazed walls, gypsum and acoustical ceilings and other advanced and well-appointed interior finishes that complete this technologically advanced and secure facility that provides the essential needs of all University of Kentucky students, faculty and staff. Efficient and sustainable heating, cooling, lighting and communications systems are incorporated for safety, security, comfort, energy conservation, and ease of operation.
The project is the demolition of two existing buildings and the construction and site preparation for a new, single-story, 31,240 sf pre-engineered metal building. Categories of work: Demolition of existing structures and surrounding existing site work. Sub-surface site work consisting of soil stabilization techniques – built-up engineered fill pad & Geo- grid matts. Concrete paving and asphalt paving. Concrete foundations and building slab. Erection of a pre-engineered metal building. Installation of storefront entrance/ window systems and exterior clerestory sandwich panel windows. Installation of new metal stud/gypboard systems for offices in two separate locations within the building. Installation of new hollow metal frames and solid wood doors in a two sections of the building. Installation of new lay-in ceilings.Painting of interior gypboard systems, including walls and door frames. Floor preparation and installation of VCT finishes in office areas. Toilet partitions and accessories. Installation of a new fire protection system. Complete lighting, mechanical, electrical, data, and alarm systems throughout the building.
The project is for the renovation of the existing patio at the Governor’s Mansion. Scope includes removal of the existing brick pavement and low brick seat walls, and construction of a new patio and walls. Patio will be constructed of salvaged limestone, newly fabricated limestone and Kentucky River Marble paving slabs and coping, with new seat walls constructed of cmu with Kentucky River Marble veneer, and some limited landscape and subdrainage work.

Project Description:
Sanitary sewer rehabilitation by means of both trench and trenchless technologies as shown on the drawings and described in the specifications. Approximately 9,000 LF of sewer line and 65 manholes are included in the scope of this sanitary sewer rehabilitation. Also included is a 100 gpm pump station replacement. The bids will include all provisions of the Project, including all associated work necessary to provide a finished product that meets the requirements set forth in the contract documents.
Description and location of Project: Removal of 345 linear feet of process water line wth exterior insulation wrap; installation of 260 linear feet of process water line and one valve; surface preparation and protective coating system of 512 linear feet of process water line.
The project consists of renovation of multiple rooms in the Breathitt County Life Skills Center to accommodate expansion of the Cosmetology program at Hazard Community and Technical College to its Lees Campus location in Jackson, Ky. The expansion will include multiple existing rooms renovated to house a styling/shampoo area, dispensary, facial room, manicure/pedicure, styling classroom and student locker area. Mechanical and electrical systems will be altered as required to accommodate the new program in the existing space.
The Base Bid Work includes partial demolition of the lower guard wall at Lock No. 1. The Work may also include site preparation, erosion control, surveying, water control with fluctuating river levels, localized dredging, site safety/security, maintenance of local traffic, temporary access road construction and maintenance, and site cleanup/restoration. The CONTRACTOR shall utilize the Work Limits shown on the Drawings for laydown, equipment storage, and personnel parking, as well as construction activities. The estimated quantity for demolition is shown on the Drawings and is for information only. The quantity is an estimate only. Payment for additional demolition, beyond that outlined in the drawings, shall be adjusted according to the unit prices in the form of proposal. The CONTRACTOR shall be solely responsible for performing its own quantity computations for bidding and construction purposes. Estimated quantities do not include temporary works for construction.

Louisville Water Company is requesting Bids for providing labor, rigging, tools, equipment, and materials to replace the roofing system and rehabilitate the exterior masonry at the Crescent Hill Water Treatment Plant Fluoride Building, as noted on contract documents. The work includes repairing of the exterior masonry with tuck pointing, brick replacement, cleaning, and sealing exterior masonry walls. Painting steel doors and frames, inside and out. Demo and remove existing roof system, metal deck and vinyl-backed insulation. Install new steel bar joists, vinyl-backed insulation and new standing-seam metal roof panels, and all sheet metal components, i.e. coping caps, metal counterflashing, gutters, downspouts, and eave metal closure strips.

Project Description:
The Project consists of the construction of NEW RESTROOM FACILITIES to the existing Lexington Public Library Central Branch 1st Floor Level.
Construction of a new Men’s and Women’s ADA Accessible Restrooms within the existing building and the demolition of the former cafe area. Work will include the demolition of existing walls, ceilings and finishes. New work will including new metal stud partitions, acoustical ceiling system, gypsum board, painting and porcelain and ceramic tile floor and wall finishes. There is plumbing, fire suppression, mechanical HVAC, electrical, lighting, communications/data wiring, and fire alarm systems rework and replacement work as part of this scope of work. There are many additional miscellaneous items in the Scope of Work as shown on the Contract Documents.
This project consists of the replacement of the swimming pool filter with a new hi-rate sand filter system complete with pressure gauges, and manual backwash valve assemble, installation of a new 15 hp pump with new controls and wiring hook-up, installation of a new surge tank located outside the building, installation of a new backwash retention tank located outside the building, installation of a new chemical controller, installation of a new mechanical room ventilation fan in new location, installation of a new flow meter, associated wiring and light replacement in the mechanical room, and new piping connecting equipment in the mechanical room. Major components of the project include the following: HI-RATE SAND FILTER SYSTEM AND PUMP and SURGE TANK AND BACKWASH TANK.
The site is located in Perry County near the community of Blue Diamond off of KY 267. To access the site from Hazard travel on Hwy 15 north towards the Hal Rogers PKWY, then continue on HWY 15 for approximately ¾ of a mile to KY 267. Turn right and continue approximately 2.4 miles to the project area. The site is located at coordinates N 37° 18’ 28.13”, W 83° 12’ 47.59”. The project consists of constructing drainage controls around numerous homes on Harveyton Road/KY-267. A combination rock ditch/drain will be installed, as well as sub-drains, and a “V” ditch. Existing ditches will also be cleaned out. Four concrete gravity walls will be constructed, as well as a reinforced concrete retaining wall. Polypropylene pipes will be installed along with appropriate headwalls and bedding in flowable fill. Silt control will be provided by utilizing Gabion check dams. A revegetation bid item is included for all disturbed areas as part of normal reclamation efforts. A temporary low-water crossing will be constructed across First Creek to facilitate access on the site—this feature will be completely removed at the end of construction activities. Roadway Stone and Bituminous Repair are included to repair “in kind” those surfaces disturbed by normal construction activities. A structure removal / replacement bid item is included to remove qualifying features needed to facilitate normal reclamation activity. For continued project description see Special Conditions.
