PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Furnishing all labor, materials and equipment and performing all work necessary to complete the taxiway and T-hangar pavement rehabilitation.
The Scope of Work is understood to include removing the upper portion of the existing aluminum pool shell and integral gutter down to the internal floor of the gutter. A portion of the existing concrete deck extending approximately 36″ from the back of the existing gutter will also need to be cut out and removed. A new stainless steel gutter circulation system will be installed above the remaining aluminum shell wall. The existing aluminum shell includes an integrated surge tank component that will be abandoned in place and sealed. Therefore the Work will also include a new surge tank with associated valves and piping. Additional concrete pool deck will be cut out as necessary to allow for surge tank installation under the concrete pool deck. A PVC liner will be installed over the entire pool including the existing concrete floor, remaining aluminum shell wall, and will terminate just below the new stainless steel gutter circulation system. Remaining aluminum shell and concrete pool floor will be prepped with two part catalyzed pool patching compound per PVC liner manufacturer’s requirements. Additionally, the adjacent concrete deck, concrete stairs, flagstone deck and stone walls will be cleaned and sealed, and expansion joints in the deck cleaned out and re-sealed with pourable sealant.

The construction documents replace the existing main service distribution switchboard with a new switchboard. The work includes the removal and replacement of the switchboard, removal of an existing panelboard, the installation of new load feeders to extend the existing equipment feeders as necessary to reach the new switchboard, relocation of an existing panelboard, and consolidation of the existing five service mains into one service main.
All required power outages must be scheduled with the building users operations and must be completed in the time scheduled.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The project includes providing all construction supervision, labor, materials, tools, test equipment necessary for the construction of the EA3 Pumping Station and Force Main. The project includes
but is not limited to Contract No 1 a LFUCG Class A pumping station with mechanical screening, screenings compactor, four (4) submersible sewage pumps, two (2) sump pumps, building with
screening room, dumpster room, odor control room, electrical room and emergency generator
room. The Force Main project Contract No.2 includes approximately 5,550 LF of 24M PVC force main. The project will be bid as two separate bids, EA3 Pump Station and the EA3 Force Main utilizing separate bid forms. Contractors may bid on one or both tasks.
This project constructs a new Health Services Training Unit on the MCC Health Campus, where an existing dorm has been recently removed. The Lab will be setup to teach EMT and Home Health professionals how to care for individuals in a residential setting.
The Lab module will be built for both ADA and non-ADA configurations to train students how to accommodate patients in either circumstance. The Lab as a training module will be constructed on the health campus where other classroom space will be provided in the standard KCTCS classroom building. The project has been preliminarily reviewed by HBC where it was determined that it should be built as an R-3 occupancy identical to its design intent with the understanding that if the occupancy changes certain code revisions may be required and shall be corrected by the owner prior to the new occupancy.
The training module will be constructed of wood stud and brick veneer construction typical to residential construction. It will be constructed with a crawl space to accommodate some revision to plumbing should that be necessary. Exterior insulation will be spray foam insulation. The unit will be heated and cooled by typical residential HVAC Units. Fresh-air will be achieved by operable windows. Electrical receptacles will be designed at 150% of the number required for residential design for some additional capacity. Data will be run in conduit from the Hadley Building but will not be in conduit within the building. Data drops will be on each major wall of each major space.

The Thomas Scott property is located in extreme northern Knott County, southwest of Garrett at 37° 28’ 02.1” N and 82° 51’ 46.4” W. The site can be reached by taking US 23 South from Prestonsburg and exiting onto KY 80 West toward KY 302/Martin/Hazard, and continuing for approx. 15 miles to a left turn onto Plum Branch Road. The Scott residence is approximately ¼ mile on the right (215 Plum Branch Road). A waste area is planned approximately 0.3 miles northeast of the site just past Garrett along Hwy. 80. It is assumed that only a small part of the available waste area will be used.
A draining adit pours into an existing drainage ditch and pipe. Erosion is occurring around the pipe, and the yard remains saturated throughout the year.
Site preparation includes clearing and grubbing of vegetation. Access is over an existing drive. A quantity of roadway stone is included for additional access as necessary Straw bales and silt fence are included to minimize erosion from the site. No trees larger than three inches in diameter, whether dead or alive, will be removed except during the designated time allowed unless they are on an unstable slope.
Reclamation plans consist of closing the portal with wildlife access and collecting drainage into a drop box and pipe (with headwall at outlet) which will take the water to an existing drain. This pipe will likely be at shallow depth, and under a garden, so filter fabric is included as deemed necessary by the engineer to be placed atop the pipe so as to minimize the risk of damage to lawn and gardening equipment.
A length of free-standing concrete block wall with class II stone behind is planned behind the residence and garage to shore up the unstable slope. Safety fence is included above the wall, and subdrain is included to direct water to the drop box which drains the adit and also into a length of RHDPE pipe with headwall, which will take water under the drive and into existing drainage. The drainage will be stabilized and improved as necessary by placement of class II/III and ECB, and will enter an existing culvert which drains under the road. The point at which flow breaks direction in the subdrain will be determined in the field by the engineer. Existing grate under the drive is also planned to be replaced.
All areas disturbed by construction activities are to be revegetated in accordance with regional, regulatory, and project standards, using agricultural limestone, fertilizer, seed and mulch. A standard seed mix is to be used.
