The TIE Building for Gateway Community and Technical Collage is located in downtown Covington at 520 Madison Ave. The existing building is fully functioning all year. This project includes work on the 3rd and 4th floors. On the 4th floor the existing Drawing Lab will be enlarged from 800sf to 1060sf with the removal of two interior storage rooms. The existing entrance to the lab will be filled in and relocated. The existing student commons area will be enclosed to create a new 990sf Learning Lab. All new Architectural Modular Wall Systems will be provided by owner. MEP work will consist of power, lighting, technology, sprinkler, fire alarm, and HVAC work. Data/power connections at Modular Walls are to be coordinated with the Contractor. An office will be placed in an available existing space on the 3rd floor. All new Architectural Modular Wall Systems will be provided by owner. MEP work will consist of power, lighting, technology, sprinkler, fire alarm, and HVAC work. The Commonwealth of Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration (DECA), on behalf of Kentucky Educational Television (KET) are making structural modifications to 14 towers. Thirteen towers are at various locations in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. One tower is in Indiana.KET received notice from the Federal Communications Commission reassigning 16 stations to new channels as part of the congressionally mandated repacking process or reorganization of the digital television bands. The repacking process is the final part of the broadcast television spectrum incentive auction. In general, these specifications and accompanying drawings describe the work to be done and the materials to be furnished to structurally upgrade 14 towers to meet the EIS/TIA 222 Revision G Standard. This work generally consists of structural modifications to various tower members, and structural modifications to tower foundations and tower anchor points. Structural modifications to the towers, in whole or part, generally consists of the removal and replacement of members, adding additional members, strengthening of existing members, removal and replacement of guy wires, and/or adding guy anchors.Structural modifications to the foundations, in whole or part, generally consist of increasing the size of the existing concrete foundations of the tower and adding additional mass to existing concrete anchor blocks of guyed towers.The 14 towers requiring structural modifications consist of either Stainless or Pi-rod brand towers. Tower heights vary from 297 feet to 950 feet.

This project consists of extending a non-reinforced concrete block type II retaining wall with backfill for 56 feet to the north of the existing wall. This should eliminate sloughing of the hillside where previous attempts failed. Also, proposed is excavating a junction box and either modifying it into or removing and constructing a drop box w/ grate. Subdrains will be installed to help eliminate ponding of surface water in front of the existing wall. Roadway stone has been added if needed to facilitate access. And bituminous repair is added in the event of damage to the Howell driveway. Structure removal has been added to move a small out building to facilitate access from the north and to stay off the Howell driveway.
Any waste generated will be placed in the Richard Anderson Waste Area just south of the project area. Traffic control is included due to hazardous road conditions where line of site is reduced. Sediment will be controlled in all disturbed areas and for the duration of construction efforts. All disturbed areas will be revegetated to standards set by the Abandoned Mine Lands specifications.

This project, Red Oak Creek Restoration Project Drainage C, located within the Dr. James R. Rich Wildlife Management Area off Old Columbus Road in Owen County, Kentucky, shall generally consist of the re-establishment, rehabilitation, enhancement, and preservation of approximately 12,480 linear feet of intermittent and ephemeral streams tributary to Red Oak Creek. Tasks to be performed in order to achieve project goals include reshaping of existing channels; re-establishment of new channels with stable dimensions; construction of in-stream structures; preparation of soil for seeding; native planting and seeding; installation of erosion control fabric and mulch; and harvesting, transporting, installation, and maintaining live stake and vegetative materials. The restoration project involves re-establishment of ~3,800 feet of channel and rehabilitation of ~3,890 feet of channel with equipment. The restoration project also involves rehabilitation of ~387 feet of channel and enhancement of 832 feet of channel by handwork. Restoration will include in-stream structures such as armored riffle crossings, rock and rock/log riffles, rock toe, toe wood, single and double log vanes, buried rock grade control, and handwork log structures as well as vegetation of the stream banks and establishment of a forested riparian corridor along the streams.
