This project scope includes the renovation of an existing building at 1555 Georgetown Road in Lexington,
Kentucky, to house both Fayette County Public School’s STEAM Academy and Success Academy. The existing building was built in 2007 for Imani Baptist Church, but much of the interior was not completed when Fayette County Public Schools purchased the property in 2017. The project includes demolition of
existing structural steel, concrete slabs (elevated and on grade), and CMU stair shafts as well as interior non-load bearing items. It also includes a complete renovation of the interior space, except for the athletics portion, which includes a large gymnasium, running track, locker rooms, and exercise space,
which will largely remain. A new steel-framed second floor supported by new columns and shallow foundations punched through the existing slab on grade will be added to the previously unfinished
sanctuary space, to increase the second floor area. The total gross square footage of the building will be 134,221. Kitchen is to be full sized with a grab-n-go style food court serving area designed to
accommodate approximately 250 students per lunch period and 700 meals daily. Base bid exterior renovations include removal of the existing steeple, a limited number of new doors and windows, a limited area of new cladding, recoating the existing low-slope roofing, adding tubular skylights and premanufactured
aluminum canopies. Bid alternates provide for more extensive exterior renovations of the STEAM and Success Academy entrances. The project adapts the existing parking lot to meet KDE and
FCPS requirements by removing and altering sections to separate the parent/student drop off loop from
the bus loop. Existing wet pipe sprinkler system will be modified for new spaces. New plumbing fixtures, water heaters, domestic hot and cold water, and sanitary piping will be provided throughout. Some
sanitary piping will be reused. Roof leaders will be relocated. New natural gas piping will be provided. Existing service entrances will remain. HVAC shall consist of two-stage, water-source heat pumps served
by a fluid cooler and electric boilers. Dedicated outside air units with energy recovery will provide fresh, conditioned air to the building occupants. Direct digital HVAC controls shall be installed. A bid alternate will provide a geothermal well-field in lieu of the fluid cooler and boilers. New electrical and telecommunications service entrances will be provided. New electrical distribution switchboards and panelboards will be provided throughout to serve new receptacles and LED lighting. Other new electrical systems include fire alarm, security, sound, data/voice, public address, emergency generator, and lighting control systems.

tower at Woodford County High School to include new cooling tower, turbine pump replacement,
controls and associated electrical demolition and connections. Existing cooling tower is to be
dismantled and removed from site.
Louisville Water Company is requesting Bids for the Phase One (1) renovation of the Crescent Hill Filter Plant Chemical Building located at 3018 Frankfort Avenue. Phase One (1) project renovations shall address the lower level and first floor of the Chemical Building, including relocating all functioning Treatment Plant services in conflict with the improvements. The existing Plant services are critical to the daily treatment of water and will remain in-service during construction. The improvements shall consist, but not limited to, pouring a concrete pad footing in the lower level, steel structural supports, installing a concrete first floor, constructing the bases of two new fire rated stairwells, and abatement of all existing lead paint within the limits of the project, including all labor, rigging, equipment and materials.
A pre-bid meeting to discuss the Project and to tour the work site will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 9:00 AM EST at Crescent Hill Pump Station Building, 201 Stilz Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206 in the Crescent Hill Training Room. Attendees must check in with the Security Building guard located at the Stilz Avenue entrance and park in the lot behind the Pump Station Building. Attendance at this meeting is MANDATORY.

The Company’s Project Manager’s estimate for the Contract plus Company supplied materials for this Project is $1,000,001 – $3,000,000. This project consists of the renovation of the existing approximate 2,400 GSF Welding Laboratory and the addition of a Pre-Engineered Metal Building. The existing space will be converted into classrooms, offices, a simulation lab and other support space. The addition will include two large bay labs to housing Welding Diesel Technology as well as support spaces of storage, restrooms, grinding lab and mechanical/electrical. Minimal exterior work to the existing building is included but the interior will include gypsum board/metal stud partition walls, flooring and lay-in ceilings. The addition will include CMU interior partition walls, concrete flooring, and large overhead doors. The exterior will include metal roof and wall panels by PEMB manufacturer.
