The project is to be a new facility for multiple occupants at the Wendell H. Ford Regional Training Center. The building size is approximately 5,000 square feet with 3,900 sf on the First Floor and 1,100 sf on the Second Floor. Foundations will be cast-in-place concrete. Exterior/load bearing walls will be reinforced insulated concrete forms. Exterior wall finish will be a combination of smooth and split-face 4″ concrete masonry units. Floors on grade will be sealed, colored concrete, slab-on grade. Second floor will be concrete hollow-core slabs with a sealed, colored concrete topping. Roof structure will be cold-formed steel engineered trusses and steel roof deck. Roof will be pre-finished metal panels over composite rigid insulation with a nailable surface. Windows and entrance doors will be storefront aluminum systems with insulating glass, secondary exterior doors and frames will be hollow metal. Interior walls will be light-gauge steel studs with sound batt insulation and gypsum board finish. Toilets/showers will have ceramic tile finish on walls. Doors and frames will be hollow metal. Ceilings will typically be suspended acoustic tile. Floors in offices will be carpet tiles. Other floors will be exposed, colored concrete with a clear sealer finish. Fixtures/furnishings will include drinking fountains, typical break room cabinetry and HDPE lockers. A reinforced concrete vault will be a part of the work. Plumbing includes typical restroom fixtures, packaged shower units and instantaneous water heater. The building will use electric heat pumps and natural gas for heat. HVAC will be split system heat pumps with gas furnaces and ductless split units for specialty areas. Electrical work includes 120/208V power distribution system and LED lighting. Communications/data systems will include Category 6 UTP wiring and devices. Sitework includes earthwork cut/fill as required, asphalt paving, concrete curbs and walks, storm water drainage and sod/seeding. The project scope includes the relocation of the main entrance drive from KY 181. Modifications to the existing entrance location and the security access point are included.

Description and location of Project: The scope of the project is as follows:
This Contract provides for the installation of a ground water well approximately 70 feet deep with 20 feet deep stainless steel wire wrapped screen at the bottom. Extend casing approximately 1 ft above grade and construct a 2′ x 2′ concrete pedestal. All electrical switch gear from the existing ground water well shall be re-used. Provide and install a 460 Volt, 15 HP to produce 600 gpm @ 60 TDH Ground water well pump, similar to the other existing ground water well pumps on site. Tie in to existing discharge piping for old ground water well No.10. Cap existing old well No. 10. Construct 3 guard posts. Furnish water level meter equipped with a reel, pressure-proof probe, and heat embossed tape.The project includes all clean up and appurtenant work as described in bid proposal and specifications. The project site is located in western Jefferson County at the Morris Forman Water Quality Treatment Center, 4522 Algonquin Parkway, Louisville, KY 40211.

All work shall be done in accordance to MSD’s Standard Specifications.

There will be non-mandatory pre-bid meeting held for this project. The meeting will be at 11:00 AM local time on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the Morris Forman Water Quality Treatment Center located at 4522 Algonquin Parkway, Louisville, KY 40211, 3rd floor administration building conference room. A non- mandatory site visit will be held immediately following pre-bid meeting at the Morris Forman site. Any contractor that will be attending the site visit will be required to have the appropriate PPE.

The Engineer’s Construction Cost Estimate for this project is between $ 100,000.00 to $120,000.00.

A. This Work includes interior renovations to the Lexington Readiness Center located at 4301 Airport Road in Lexington, Kentucky. The scope includes the following items:

• Paint all walls in areas identified on plans and schedules. Generally these are the same areas receiving floor and ceiling replacement.
• New humidity resistant 2×2 ceiling grid throughout areas identified on plans.
• Reconfigure office at addition wing of building to create a new corridor leading to caging storage area.
• Fill in opening in wall separating caging/storage area into two distinct zones to be used by separate companies stationed at the facility. New Supply Sgt. Office to be created in caging / storage area.
• Upper level offices to be renovated with new floor finish, wall paint, and ceiling tile and grid.
• Upper level to have existing Women’s restroom renovated into restrooms. New Men’s and Women’s single user restrooms will be constructed. Women’s to include water closet and lavatory, Men’s to include water closet, lavatory and urinal.
• Through wall air conditioner will be deleted and wall patched.
• Windows indicated on plans (punched windows and glazed entries) will be replaced with new blast resistant aluminum framed storefront system with laminated glazing.
• New hollow metal doors and frames will be provided where indicated on plans.
• Most existing hollow metal doors and frames will remain. Existing doors will review new ADA compliant lever hardware and will be painted.
• Total of four new Class 5 Vault Doors will be provided at existing three vaults.
• New LED lighting will be installed at areas indicated on plans, these are typically areas receiving new ceiling. Caging / storage areas will also receive new LED lighting.
• New Supply Sgt. Office in caging / storage area will receive new HVAC system (mini-split).

The project includes removing the existing asphalt shingle roofing and replacing with a standing seam metal roof for the I-71 Northbound and Southbound Rest Areas in Boone County, KY. The total square footage of new standing seam metal roof is 28,120 sq. ft. The buildings to receive new metal roof consist of the main restroom buildings, vending machine buildings, information center building, trucker’s restroom buildings, and trucker’s vending machine buildings. The project includes selective demolition to the upper roof caps of the main restroom buildings and rebuilding these upper roof caps with a gabled roof structure in lieu of the existing flat roof structure. These upper roof caps will have new finishes on the vertical walls, which are scheduled to be painted cementitious board siding with “fry reglet” trim. Roof accessories included in the project consist of new gutters, downspouts, and snow guards. The project includes minor modifications to the HVAC ductwork and venting in the upper roof caps of the main restroom buildings.
