The project involves the removal of one of the existing VRF HVAC system providing heat and cooling to the Bldg. This will include removal of the room controls, refg. piping, pipe insulation and system controls and interlock.
This project will include the installation of a new VRF systems, outdoor, indoor units, the installation of the refg. piping, pipe insulation, indoor unit support frame, frame enclosure, re-connect electrical ckts, re-connect low voltage control ckts, and complete a mfg. start-up. This contractor will need to make all of the interlocks between indoor and outdoor equipment as required a operational system.
About one third of the Bldg. is without heat and therefore we are requiring that the successful Bidder submit VRF equipment shops drawings within 24 hours. Equipment Suppliers needs to be able to have equipment on job site 7 days after shop are approved.

The Fire Alarm Life Safety System of the Lodge, Guest Room Buildings “A through D”, Pool Restroom Building, as well as the Meeting Room Building will be upgraded per the Kentucky Building Code with Current Revisions, Americans with Disabilities Act, International Building Code, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code NFPA72, and National Electrical Code. An intelligent, addressable fire alarm system shall be provided in accordance with National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code requirements as well as the requirements of the State Fire Marshall’s Office. The system will comply with all manufacturers’ requirements and shall report compatible alarm signals to the remote central system via an externally mounted dialer. The fire alarm system will monitor any and all sprinkler system flow switches, tamper switches, kitchen hood monitor, elevator recall, and duct mounted smoke detectors as well as heat detectors and smoke detectors. Power panels serving the fire alarm system shall receive SPD “surge suppression devices” on the 120VAC power feeder to protect the fire alarm system from transient voltages and power surges. A 48 hour notification is required for any outage of the existing Fire Alarm System. All work shall be done in compliance with the KBC “Kentucky Building Code”, the IBC “International Building Code” and NEC “National Electrical Code”.

The Van Lear Sinkhole AMLRP is located in Johnson County, Kentucky at N 37° 46’11’ latitude and W 82° 44′ 48″ longitude near Paintsville, KY. To reach the site from Paintsville, take KY-321 S/ S Mayo Trail approximately 3.5 miles and turn left onto KY-1107. Continue 1 mile and turn right onto KY-302 S. Go 1.5 miles and turn left onto Miller Creek Rd. In about 500′ turn right to stay on Miller Creek Rd. Continue approximately 0.7 mile to the subsidence area.
Project Area:
A subsidence hole has developed in the ditch line along Miller Creek Road. AML plans on widening out the fracture so the mine void can be filled below the fracture. This will be done by hammering the rock. This material will be used to backfill the void. Additional rock will be added to fill above the mine void. The rock will then be grouted to provide a stable base. The rest of the void will be backfilled with rock. A concrete swale ditch will be constructed in the ditch line to facilitate drainage away and across the sinkhole area.
Bituminous and roadway stone bid items are included to repair (in kind) any damage to the roadway.
General:
All disturbed areas will be revegetated according to KY AML standards.

The Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) invites submittals of
responses to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Progressive Design-Build (PDB) services
for the Paddy’s Run Flood Pump Station Capacity Upgrade Project (Project). The Project will be
delivered in two stages:




• Stage 1: Design through 100%, construction planning, permitting, and the development
of a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposal(s).




• Stage 2: Construction, start-up and commissioning, acceptance testing and postconstruction
services.




The deadline for responding to this RFQ with a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is April
15, 2021 at 10:00 AM (EST) local time.





Once the RFQ is issued, all inquiries must be submitted via MSD’s web-based portal at http://louisvillemsd.bonfirehub.com/portal/.
