Description and location of Project:
A. The Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, labor, supervision, incidentals and all other items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents.
B. The principal features of the Work to be performed under this Contract include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Two-way radio signal repeater equipment to provide two-way radio signal coverage for below-grade spaces at the
Morris Forman Water Quality Treatment Center, Bells Lane Wet Weather Treatment Facility, Southwestern Pump
Station, and Derek R. Guthrie Water Quality Treatment Center to include, but not be limited to:
a. Omni-directional exterior mounted antennas,
b. Radio repeater equipment enclosures,
c. Omni-directional interior mounted antennas,
d. Performance testing and performance demonstration, and
e. All other appurtenant components including conduit, cable, hardware, and supports required for a complete and
functioning system as required by the Contract Documents.
All work shall be done in accordance to MSD’s Standard Specifications.
There will be MANDATORY pre-bid meeting held for this project. The Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the Morris Forman Water Quality Treatment Center on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. The address is 4522 Algonquin Parkway. All visitors will be required to furnish their own PPE to visit the site. A face mask must also be worn during the site visit. We will meet at the gazebo at the top of the hill to the left of the Administration Building.
The Engineer’s Construction Cost Estimate for this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.

The Kentucky State Police is proposing to erect three (3) new communications towers in Western Kentucky. The site names are 2-13 Webster County DOT, 1-7 Ballard County Jail, and 1-9 Art’s Oasis. The new structure at 2-13 Webster County DOT will be a 195’ tall latticed steel self-supporting tower designed to accommodate a future 55’ extension. The new structures at 1-7 Ballard County Jail and 1-9 Art’s Oasis will be 250’ tall latticed steel self-supporting towers designed to accommodate future 50’ extensions. All new tower sites will require a new equipment shelter, generator, and propane tank.
The Kentucky State Police is also proposing to install a new equipment shelter at an existing site named 2-12 Wendell H Ford. The existing 190’ tall latticed steel self-supporting tower requires structural modifications to increase the capacity of the tower.
This project involves installing structural foundations, erecting towers and installing tower modifications, installing all necessary site components, and completing all exterior improvements per the project drawings. The new tower steel and hardware, equipment shelters, generators, and automatic transfer switches (ATS) will be provided by the Kentucky State Police. The contractor is responsible for the transportation and delivery of all site components to the project locations. The contractor is responsible for the coordination of delivery and receipt of the new tower steel and hardware from the tower manufacturer.
