Lexington Public Library – Marksbury Family Branch
The Village Branch, a linchpin in LPL’s system wide vision, opened in 2004 as a small storefront
branch. Expanded in 2010, the Village Library routinely punches above its weight with program
attendance and circulation numbers far above what might be expected. The branch is a true
community asset, hosting many extra-library programs for the neighborhood, which has higher
walkability and lower incomes than other areas of Lexington. The Library’s 2019 Master
Planning process, with input from the Lexington community, identified the replacement of the
Village Branch as its top priority. In November 2020, LPL purchased the site the library currently
sits on with the vision to build a new 30,000 square ft. branch library

The project is the Kentucky State Police, Academy Dorm Improvements, 380 Coffee Tree Road, Frankfort, Kentucky, Franklin County. The project is located at the Kentucky State Police Training Academy. Project consist of recladding the existing dormitory with new metal roof & wall panels. All roof areas indicated shall receive a new metal-over-metal roof panel system on existing standing seam metal roofs (to remain in place) utilizing retrofit sub-purlin framing system. Provide new metal panel wall system at all walls with galv. hat channels over existing EIFS to be coated with an air barrier prior to enclosure. Provide new rake, fascia, valley, wall, & soffit prefinished metal trims + gutters & downspouts at full perimeter. Existing false attic vents at dutch hips shall be covered over with wall panels. All unused exhaust stacks (4) will be removed. Existing KSP radio communication equipment will be taken off-line for a (5) day max. outage during new roof work. Provide (8) large exterior louvers to be mounted in front of existing louvers. All PVDF finishes for new metal panel systems, soffit, ceiling, and trims shall have 45-year paint warranty (Kynar-500 paint). Reinforced concrete mow strip shall be placed at full perimeter of building. Project Includes exterior painting of existing exterior windows, doors, and frames. Painting and concrete work must be performed by experienced contractors. Retrofit sub-purling framing system must be installed by a Contractor that can provide verified experience with installing these systems. Plumbing work to extend several sprinkler system drain lines and a water driven sprinkler system activation alarm bell.

RFB-184-22 Donna Baker – Phase II, AMLRP, Pike County, KY
(Substantial Completion) + 60 Calendar Days (Final Completion)
The proposed project (approximately 0.1 acres, the primary waste area is approximately 40.8 acres, though only a small fraction will be used) consists primarily of installing a 36” pipe to transmit surface water from the hillside behind the Baker residence to the nearby creek. The project area is centrally located at N 37° 26’ 56.22′, W 82° 28’ 44.77″. The site address is 3829 Chloe Road and is located on KY-1460 in Pikeville, KY 41501. The primary waste area, previously used on the Henry Hatcher AML reclamation project, is located approximately 9.6 miles from the project site at N 37° 25’ 38.57″, W 82° 32’ 10.32″.
Reclamation work consists of constructing a concrete headwall at the foot of the hillside and installing a 36” HDPE pipe from that headwall to a dropbox by Chloe Road. A 36” DWPP pipe will then connect to the dropbox and take the water under the road and outlet into the creek. A 6’x6’x15” reinforced concrete headwall will be constructed at the DWPP outlet to bridge the existing rail steel. Other concrete dropboxes will be constructed along the pipe as portrayed on the plans and directed by the ENGINEER. Existing water and gas lines (held by Mountain Water and Utilities Management Group, respectively) are currently in the path of the proposed pipe and will have to be lowered before work can commence. Additional subdrain will be installed to direct water away from the backyard of the Baker residence and into the new pipe.
During the time when the pipe is being installed under Chloe Road, that section of road will be shut down to traffic. Public notification of this closure will be given at least two weeks in advance including message boards, radio, and newspaper notification. Hay bales/silt fence will be used for sediment and erosion control.

Jefferson County Public Schools – Ballard High School Concrete Patio Repair
Construction Plans for the repair/replacement of the outdoor patio at
Ballard High School. The new plans will eliminate the single concrete
retaining wall and replace it with a 3-tiered modular retaining wall
design. The design removes much of the existing concrete and replaces it with permeable pavers, turf, new steps, and a new concrete walk to
dramatically reduce the impervious surface area in the project area.
Existing circulation is reconfigured, and the new concrete walk provides a
universally accessible route throughout the project limits. The detention
basin retaining wall and section of the patio overhanging the existing
detention basin within the existing MSD easement will remain
unchanged.

This project is to replace the Deaerator and Condensate Surge Tanks in the Medical Center
Heating and Cooling Plant. The existing tanks will be removed, and the new tanks will be
installed through the existing exterior wall. The exterior wall panels will need to be removed.
The extra steel columns will be added to the existing second floor mezzanine structural steel.
The steam, condensate, feedwater piping to and from the tanks will be removed and
replaced. New level controls for both tanks will be provided. The Deaerator and Condensate
Surge Tanks are owner furnished and contractor installed.
