Contract 23 will consists of the construction of approximately 72,000 linear feet of 8,6,4 and 3 inch waterlines and the installation of one (1) booster pump station. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment and labor necessary to complete the construction of the waterline, appurtenances and reclamation.

AML Reclamation Project

Seventeen sections of an existing wooden lagging wall near Wadkins Road have deteriorated and need to be replaced. The lagging wall was constructed by OSM about twenty years ago. To fix the wall the laggings will be removed and replaced with seventeen reinforced concrete laggings measuring 6 feet long by 10 feet tall by 6 inches thick. The laggings will be placed between existing steel H-beams which are part of the existing wall and shall not be replaced.
An ECB ditch will be constructed below the wall to direct drainage to an existing class II ditch. A subdrain will constructed behind the wall and directed to weep holes in the laggings. A dropbox will be installed on the opposite side of Wadkins Road and connected to an 18” concrete pipe that will lead to and cut through the lagging wall and outlet to a new section of class II area to be added to the existing class II ditch. An additional subdrain will be placed near and lead to the dropbox.
Site Preparation includes clearing and grubbing of vegetation. The construction areas at the site shall be revegetated using residential seeding. Hay bales and silt fences shall be installed for silt and erosion control. A hoe ram bid item is included for excavation work needed for the ditches, subdrains and retaining walls.
