This project is to coordinate with UK’s Unit Price Contractors for Electrical and Concrete to renovate the existing Family Pool at Spindletop Hall. The existing pool walls, floor, gutters etc. will remain (demolition of the existing shallow end steps will be included in this bid) and the deep end will be fill with stone to create a new concrete pool bottom, new stainless steel walls (including all required buttressing and support to be designed by pool contractor) and stainless steel gutter system including all new piping for features and standard supply and returns . All water feature piping is to be included in the base bid pricing and the water features will be listed in the Alternate Bid pricing on the bid form. As part of this work the under slab bonding grid will be provided and installed by the contractor and bonded/inspected by the electrical contractor and State Electrical Inspector and must be coordinated by the pool contractor prior to concrete being placed.

The new elementary school, which will be built on 15 acres, will house 650 students in 36 classrooms, two pre-school classrooms, and six resource rooms. classrooms, media center, gymnasium , cafeteria , kitchen, administrative area, and other supporting functions will have a combined total of 73,000 gross square feet. The proposed building layout follows the geometry of the site boundaries and the gently rolling topography. Existing trees on the site provide opportunities to create views for the students and for the neighborhood . Separate drive loops for buses and parents will arc across the site between groves of trees. Academic wings on the southeast side frame an outdoor playing field while deliveries and mechanical equipment are located on the southwest side facing 1-75. This school’s structure will consist of masonry bearing walls, and the exterior materials will be a combination of brick veneer, metal wall panel systems, and glass openings. The massing of the building consists of gabled forms with pitched metal roofs. Mechanical systems include variable refrigerant volume (VRV) units and a single air handler with remote damper control. Remaining systems include LED lighting, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm systems, and commercial kitchen equipment.

Consisting of the construction and/or furnishing of items for the Boiler Replacement – Water Softener as follows: This project involves the removal of existing hot water boiler and installing an Owner furnished new hot water boiler. Furnish and install a new water softener. Furnish and install insulation on the existing hot water storage tanks. The installation of Owner furnished (3) each boiler blend pumps one on the new boiler and two on the existing boilers. Furnish and install a new plate and frame domestic hot water heat exchanger and pumps.
