PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Construction of Contract 1: Old Lawrenceburg Road Force Main Relocation Project for the City of Frankfort Sewer Department consisting of relocation of approximately 800 LF of existing 20” DI force main
The project comprises the partial demolition and reconstruction of Bay A, Building 3, Bluegrass Station, Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky. Existing partitions, finishes, doors, fixtures, fittings and ceilings will be removed and replaced with new construction: steel studs, gypsum board, sound batts, solid-core wood doors in steel frames, aluminum entrance with automatic door, interior and exterior painting, carpet, vinyl tile flooring, suspended ceiling, fire suppression system, lighting, mechanical systems and plumbing fittings/fixtures. A small amount of exterior site work is also required.
Estimate: $409,057.50
Estimated Length of Project: (Substantial Completion) + 120 calendar days (Final Completion)
The site is located on Peter Fork Road in Pike County (Lat: 37°, 34, 17.2”, Long: 82°, 09’, 50.1”).Drainage issues and slides have developed on the Murphy and Runyon properties. The drainage issues will be corrected by constructing ditches, subdrains and pipes to direct the runoff away from the property. The slides will be corrected by constructing three non-reinforced block retaining walls and one sheet metal wall. See spec book for full project description.
This project consists of a limited renovation to a interstate welcome center and truck weigh station. The two facilities are approximately 1 mile apart on different sites along I-65 in Franklin, Kentucky, near the Kentucky-Tennessee line. The project includes ceramic tile repair, restroom floor coatings, new doors, door hardware, painting, custom built countertops, interior/exterior sealants, and minor electrical work as code required.
The Department of Highways Engineer Section Office – Whitley County project consists of a single Base Bid. The new structure is a 2,000 GSF, single floor building. This Work includes the construction of a 2,000 sf office building at 1606 Highway 25W South, Williamsburg, KY 40769. The building is slab-on-grade with wood framed walls, vinyl clad double hung wood windows, R-21 batt insulation, shop-fabricated wood trusses, asphalt shingle roofing, and fiber cement siding. Typical floor finish to be vinyl composition tile, typical wall finish to be painted gypsum board, typical ceiling to be suspended acoustical tiles. Typical ceiling height to be 8’-0”, typical bearing wall to be 10’-1”. The HVAC system is an electric heat pump. The building will accommodate an occupancy of 21 and house the following rooms and functions: a large workroom with kitchenette, four private offices, a small conference room, men’s and women’s restrooms, mechanical room, custodial room, communications room, and reception room. The Work also includes a small concrete parking area (1 space, accessible). Consult project documents for information regarding connecting to site utilities.
Project consists of a renovation / expansion of Morehead State University Adron Doran University Center. Site preparation will include removal of curbs, utilities, sidewalks, steps, site walls and trees. Site protection will include storm water pollution prevention / erosion control, tree protection, site perimeter protection throughout construction. New site improvements include grading, installation of new storm drainage, site utilities, new asphalt pavement and asphalt surfaces, concrete curb and gutter, brick pavers and thin brick wall veneer, concrete walkways and stairs, pipe handrails, seeding, sodding and landscape installation. 189,208 S.F. Building Renovation / Expansion of existing Adron Doran University Center. Areas in the project include new national venue restaurants, campus wide catering kitchen, a plating kitchen on the third floor, large ballroom with folding wall partitions, campus data center, admissions center, theater, Student Government Offices, Dean of Student Offices, minor upgrades to Bookstore and office suites, additional meeting rooms on third floor. Building structure is concrete frame on existing building with concrete piles and grade beams. A new brick and limestone façade is being replaced on the existing building. The new building addition structure consists of concrete pile foundation with the building frame being concrete on first and second floors and steel frame with fireproofing at the third floor. Exterior walls will be light gage metal stud with masonry veneer. The roof assembly is a T.P.O. membrane roof with polyisocyanurate insulation. Exterior openings include aluminum windows, aluminum storefront and aluminum curtainwall. Interior is made up of light gage metal stud interior partitions. The finishes include carpet tile, luxury vinyl tile, rubber tile, porcelain tile and base, interior wood casework with solid surface counter tops, wood veneer wall covering in several lobby areas. Lighting in facility will be LED lighting throughout. The building HVAC will have a 4 pipe variable air volume system. It will consist of air cooled steam to hot water heat exchangers connected to the universities control steam system. The air handling units for the existing building will be located in the existing mechanical room and penthouses. All spaces will be provided with voice annunciated fire alarm system. A roof mounted transformer will provide back-up power
