The project consist of new construction for a new District 10 Office building located at the northwest corner of Highway 15 and Jett Drive, Jackson, Kentucky (Breathitt County). The new building will contain approximately 25,000 square feet of new office space located on a 6.5 acres lot adjacent to the existing District 10 office building. The existing office building will remain in operations during construction of the new facility. Vehicular parking will remain in the back portion of the site, where existing parking is currently located. The new structure will be a single story building with a mechanical mezzanine. The structure will consist of structural, metal stud load bearing walls with a masonry brick veneer, energy efficient aluminum doors and storefront punched openings. The roof will be constructed with light gauge metal trusses, 1 ½” metal roof deck, rigid insulation and standing seam metal roofing. The HVAC system will be a VRF system with energy recovery and the lighting will be fluorescent LED. The building shall be constructed as a LEED certified building as per HPBS (Kentucky High Performance Building Standards).
