Louisville Water Company is requesting Bids for the furnishing of all labor, tools, equipment, and materials required by the Contract Documents to design, manufacture, deliver, and install an impressed current cathodic protection system on I-64 36″ Steel Main. The proposed cathodic protection system would consist of three (3) semi-deep anode groundbeds installed on LWC property at the I-64 pump station, Beckley Station ECV station and the Clark Station Tank site. Each groundbed would be powered by its own rectifier and would have four (4) 1″ diameter by 60″ long mixed metal oxide tubular anodes. The groundbeds shall be installed to a depth of 50-feet, shall be vented, and filled with coke breeze backfill. The rectifiers shall be air-cooled, constant-voltage, tap-adjusted units with outputs of 60 DCV and 15 DCA. Also included in the cathodic protection system are ten (10) test stations in order to facilitate the monitoring of the system. Each test station shall have two (2) test wires attached to the pipeline as well as a permanently-installed electrode.

The Cabinet for Health & Family Services, housed inside the L&N Building in Louisville, KY will renovate its (2) 8th floor Lobby conference rooms into a Health Clinic, in order to provide related services to its employees who reside in the Building as well as surrounding Louisville area.
Premise Health will be the provider / operator for the Health Clinic. The building will remain in operation during construction, with selective, above-ceiling work as part of this scope done on level 7, currently unoccupied.
The building will remain a Business Occupancy, with no change to the current construction type. This particular area of the building was constructed around 1905, 11 stories in heights that utilizes concrete-encased steel girders with reinforced concrete joists and concrete floor slabs. The exterior walls, mentioned here for reference only, are constructed of clay tile masonry faced with brick veneer.
The existing 8th floor conference rooms across from the main elevators were analyzed for their ability to support floor loading associated with the proposed Health Clinic. That analysis concluded that no modifications to the existing floor structure are necessary as part of the Health Clinic fit-up.
A staging area has been identified to minimize disruption to the facility during the renovation, which may occur during regular business hours. Refer to Staging Plans.
The interior walls will be standard commercial construction, with a Lab, Office, Restroom, and Exam space in addition to general storage. The existing HVAC, power/data, and fire protection systems will be modified to accommodate the Health Clinic, and new lighting will be provided.
