Bid Package No. 1 – Scope Description:

access control / audio intercom system.
· All demolition, patch and repair of existing intercom system as required
for new system.
· Final connection of wiring from door hardware to access control door
controller located above ceiling.
This Work includes the renovation to the interiors including the sprinkler system at Guest Unit Buildings B and C at the Lake Cumberland State Resort Park. Room furnishings will be removed by Contractor and stored on site. The existing gypsum board ceilings and fiberglass batt insulation will be removed from the second floor guests rooms only in both buildings (B and C). Contractor will install new closed cell foamed in place insulation at underside of roof deck to make the attic part of the conditioned space.
A new wood tile ceiling grid system will be installed at the second floor guest rooms after sprinkler work is complete. All gypsum board ceilings will be repaired and touched up as necessary after sprinkler head replacement. All gypsum board ceilings will be repainted entirely to ensure a consistent and even painted finish (excluding areas receiving wood tile ceiling).

Procurement, installation and testing of condensing boiler units, combustion and exhaust air piping, primary system pumps, solids building circulation pumps and associated pipping, valves and other hardware required to integrate the new boiler plant with the existing hot water supply and return piping.
The Bidder will also be responsible for furnishing all new process and safety controls and piping components necessary to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and to ensure operability of the hot water system.

Description and location of Project: This unit based construction order is for the installation of a underground storage area with a concrete basin next to 1400 Bernheim Lane in Metro Council Distict 3
This project is for the construction of a 140’-3″ long x 60′-0″ wide x 10’ high concrete structure with a concrete pad and entrance apron for the purpose of bulk storage of roadway, deicing salt. Class “A” concrete reinforced with rebar & fiber will be used in the shallow, spread footings and walls. Class “AA” concrete modified with fiber will be used in interior pad and entrance apron. The Contractor shall be required to perform all excavation, filling, grading, & compaction of sub-grade necessary for the construction of footing, interior pad, and entrance apron.
Concrete walls will be ten (10) feet high, will be twelve (12) inches thick, will be constructed on the concrete footing, and will support a pre-engineered, membrane covered (roof) structure (PMCS). The roof structure is to be furnished and installed separately by Bulk Storage, Inc., per their current Master Agreement upon completion of the footing and walls under this contract. The (PMCS) is not a part of this Scope of Work.
A nine (9) inch thick concrete slab will be placed inside the footing and at the entrance on the exterior of the structure.
This project is to be bid LUMP SUM. This bid shall include all labor, equipment, materials, and any incidentals necessary to complete the items of work detailed in plans and herein.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Historic Sphar Seed Building – Restoration and Renovation in Winchester Kentucky. Building is a
masonry and heavy timber framed structure with basement and two stories above (approximately 25,000
s.f. total).
Remove and relay masonry at North East Corner of building, remove and relay masonry at parapets,
remove and relay some facade areas and jack arch headers, masonry tuck pointing at exterior and some
interior areas, new rigid insulation at roof, new roofing and gutters/downspouts, restore windows & doors
at Corner Office and Main Street (see plans for locations), remaining ‘open’ and double hung windows to
receive storefront type glazing, partial demo and rebuilding of wood columns and floor framing (see plans
for locations), partial demo of and replacement of flooring (see plans for locations), interior walls and
egress stairs. New electrical, lighting, plumbing, HCAV and fire protection.
This project is funded in part by the KYTC and KYTC Contractor Prequalification requirements have
been waived in lieu of an alternate Qualification method. Contractor shall have a minimum of three
historic building projects which comply with the National Park Service, Secretary of the Interiors
Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. Bidders without this experience will not be
considered. It is required that the Contractor be qualified to perform all the construction work in this
proposal to bid. If the Contractor does not meet the required qualifications, the LPA will reject the
Contractors ability to bid. All subcontractors utilized by the Contractor on this project shall be competent
to perform work or their services shall not be allowed.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Construct an extension of an existing shared-use path along KY 245 (John Rowan Boulevard) beginning near the US 62 (Bloomfield Rd) intersection and extending west across US 31E and
ending at the intersection with Padgett Way, identified as the BASE BID PROJECT segment. Project may include an ADD ALTERNATE BID segment to extend the project to Chambers Boulevard. Total distance of BASE BID PROJECT and ADD ALTERNATE is 7834 feet.
The work encompasses installation of 4 large, backlit signs comprised of aluminum formed channel letters on 3 buildings of the JCTC Downtown Campus. The buildings included in the work are Hartford Hall, which receives 2 signs (south and west sides), Health Sciences Hall, which receives one sign (south side) and Smith Library, which also receives one sign (south side). The drawings include provisions for power to these signs. Illumination is LED and controlled by photo-cells. The signs are very large and will be installed by cranes, lifts or a combination thereof. Staging areas and timing must be coordinated with the college.
In addition, there is one existing “obelisk” sign located at the corner of 1st and Gray Streets that is to receive LED backlit panels and cast aluminum letters on the west and south sides. Power for this sign will be pulled from the adjacent college-owned parking lot lighting pole.
The project consists of one (1) roof replacement and masonry work at Tech Bldg. ‘A’.
1) Remove existing roof membrane system down to existing tectum roof deck. Repair roof deck as required, per Unit Prices. Mechanically fastened base sheet and mop two (2) layer of 2.2″ ridged roof insulation and 1-layer of 0.5″ coverboard in hot asphalt, staggering all thermal joints. Mop the base ply of the 2-Ply SBS Modified Bituminous Membrane Roofing system in hot asphalt and install the cap sheet in a cold membrane adhesive. Provide crickets where indicated.
2) Provide new metal components; e.g. metal counter flashings, roof drain leads, plumbing vent flashings, edge metal, headwall flashings, etc.
3) Masonry work: includes brick repair, repointing and application of water repellents, full height, all four (4) walls.
4) Mechanical/Electrical work: Remove existing rooftop units as noted and raise existing units that are to remain.
The project consists of interior renovations to multiple rooms of the lobby, with a total of 6,550 sf. The renovations are for repairs due to water damage from a broken fire suppression system pipe. Work includes removal of existing and replacement of lay-in ceilings, carpet, and painting. The fire suppression system has been repaired.

The project consists of two roof components: Zinc-Coated Copper and SBS-Membrane roof system.
The work, Barrel Roof, consists of a complete zinc-coated copper roof replacement of the Barrel Roof, as indicated on the drawings. Remove remaining portion of copper roof system, temporary TPO membrane, wood substrate, and steel deck as indicated, down to existing roof joist. Install new steel decking, wood substrate, plywood decking & self-adhering underlayment, under Phase I. Install new zinc coated copper roof sheets roof system under Phase II. Anchor to substrate and solder all vertical and horizontal joints, laps and seams. Provide new Zinc coated copper metal components; e.g. metal counter flashing, edge metal, etc.
The work, Flat Roof, consists of roof repairs to existing SBS-Mod. Bit Membrane Roofing System. Some areas have partial removal of existing membrane and install new 2-ply SBS membrane. Some areas have SBS-Cap sheet replacement. See drawings for location and extent of each area to be repaired.
Recoat the existing epdm roof membrane of the State Office Building Annex with an elastomeric coating. The design intent is to increase the longevity of the membrane to avoid full roof replacement at this time. The wok also includes removal and replacement of a limited portion of existing rigid insulation board above deck. Provide limited portion of new epdm membrane to cover affected areas of insulation replacement. Work also to include repairing some seams of the existing epdm and roof pads. Repaint some areas of ferrous metal deterioration.

The primary purpose of this project is to isolate all utilities from Cardinal Stadium in order to demolish the entire complex. Utilities to discover, identify and demolish back to the source include electrical feeds, gas connections and water connections as indicated. In addition, the Contractor is to demolish the fiber connection that traverses through Cardinal Stadium. New fiber feeds will originate from Broadbent Arena and terminate in the Maintenance Building.
