This project is for the construction of an 80’-3″ long x 60-0″ wide x 10’ high concrete structure with an interior concrete pad and entrance apron for the purpose of bulk storage of roadway, deicing salt.
Class “A” concrete to be reinforced with rebar & fiber shall be used in the shallow, spread footings and walls. The Contractor shall be required to perform all excavation, filling, grading, & compaction of sub-grade necessary for the construction of footing, interior pad, and entrance apron.
Concrete walls will be ten (10) feet high, will be twelve (12) inches thick, will be constructed on the concrete footing, and will support a pre-engineered, membrane covered (roof) structure (PMCS). The roof structure is to be furnished and installed separately by Bulk Storage, Inc., per their current Master Agreement upon completion of the footing and walls under this contract. The (PMCS) is not a part of this Scope of Work.
Nine (9) inch thick, Class “AA” concrete modified with fiber & rebar, slabs shall be placed inside the footing and at the entrance on the exterior of the structure.
This project is to be bid LUMP SUM. This bid shall include all labor, equipment, materials, and any incidentals necessary to complete the items of work detailed in plans and herein.
The project consists of removing and replacing 7 interior and 1 exterior building security slide door operators. Replacement of 1 exterior building security slide door and frame at the existing Support Building built approximately 1989 at Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex.
This 10,000 sf renovation project includes replacement of the existing HVAC system with a geothermal water source heat pump system, and associated electrical power modifications. A new building automation system will be installed. Several fire protection system sprinkler heads will be relocated to accommodate work of other trades. All interior and exterior lighting will be replaced with new LED lighting. Portions of the existing 2×4 ceiling grid, and all ceiling tile will be replaced, and the exterior soffit will be replaced. Portable in-room temporary cooling equipment will be provided by the contractor during the summer 2019 construction period.

The Contractor shall provide all of the materials and perform all the work described in the Specifications and/or shown on the Drawings. The Emergency Generator and Automatic Transfer Switch shall be replaced with a new natural gas fired, outdoor weather enclosed, emergency generator and a service entrance rated, outdoor automatic transfer switch at the Department of Juvenile Justice facility located in Breathitt County, Jackson, Kentucky. The Scope of Work intent of the project is to renovate and replace the existing synthetic field turf
system & repair, renovate, with new latex spray finish + restripe existing urethane resilient track
surface as well as provide for new resilient latex track system for the entire high jump surface area
(that currently is only paved surface).
This work includes excavation, demolition, minor asphalt paving + concrete work, and rework of finish
lawn surfaces, along with other miscellaneous related work to complete the aforementioned project in
accordance with the Construction Documents. The fields will NOT be occupied during construction work.
The contractor shall have full use of the field during the construction time.
The turf portion of the project includes the removal and partial possible recycling of the existing synthetic
turf athletic field, reworking of existing perimeter drainage, addition of storm drain piping, installation of
long jump sand catcher and cover system, installation of new football field goal posts, installation of discus
pole eyebolts + sleeve supports, reworking of the existing gravel subbase and final laser grading,
installation geotextile fabric, shock drainage pad, and synthetic turf system, with rubber/sand mix infill. The area of field replacement is the total area inside the existing perimeter track system – totaling
(approximately 120,500 SF). All existing track surfaces and other existing appurtenances shall be
protected and not damaged during construction of the turf replacement. The existing running track will
have repair work and [2] finish coatings applied and track restriped, as well as the high jump pad
expanded and new track surface applied to the area of (approximately 5,020 SF), Work is to be
completed over Seventy Two, (72) days starting approximately May 20, 2019 and completed prior
to 1 August 2019. Upon Execution and after Notice to Proceed Contractor shall prepare all
submittals in order to have all materials approved, ordered and to be available at the Start of Work.
University of Kentucky Parking 2019 Structures, #1, #2, #3, #5, #6, #7, #8, and Good
Samaritan work includes replacement of storefront lobby enclosure, structural concrete
repairs, masonry repairs, slab waterproofing membrane removal and reinstallation, expansion
joint replacements, barrier cable replacement, line striping and façade cleaning, sealing and
sealants.

The site is located off of KY 292 in Martin County (Lat: 37°, 45’, 51.85′, Long: 82°, 18’, 54.74′).
Drainage issues have developed on the Gillman property from mining above the property. The problems will be corrected by constructing a sub drain (by replacing the 8” pipe) to direct the runoff away from the property into three more inlet drop boxes (one already exists) and to put in three headwalls into the ditch line of KY 292.
Excess excavated material from construction of the sub drain will be placed on the Gillman property, spread evenly over the flat area of the yard.
Site Preparation includes clearing and grubbing of vegetation. The construction area at the site will be revegetated using residential seeding. Hay bales and silt fences shall be installed for silt and erosion control. A hoe ram bid item is included for excavation work needed for the ditches, sub drain. Plating to protect the septic tank is included in the site prep.
This project is a HVAC Service Renovation of HVAC Services Thompson Building on the Department of Criminal Justice Training Campus. In the Thompson Building, all existing water source heat pumps are being replaced with new water source heat pumps and controls. Stairwell heat pumps being replaced with DX mini splits.

Louisville Water Company is requesting Bids for project consisting of the supply and installation of 3,485 +/- linear feet of 6-inch DR-18 C900 PVC water main (using traditional trench installation techniques), the supply and installation of 295 +/- linear feet of 6-inch Pressure Class 350 ductile iron water main (using traditional trench installation techniques), 830 +/- linear feet of 4-inch DR-18 C900 PVC water main (using traditional trench installation techniques), and 10+/- linear feet of 8-inch Pressure Class 350 ductile iron water main (using traditional trench installation techniques). Also included in this project is the supply and installation of 8 fire hydrants, and the supply and transfer, renewal, relocation or discontinue of 72 +/- customer services. Contractor shall supply and install all materials required for the completion of this project. Louisville Water Company will not supply any materials for this project. Contractors shall include the labor, material, overhead, etc. cost in their bid price. The only item that will be supplied by Louisville Water Company is the meters.
