Contract 30: Tie in to existing 12″ DI at the intersection of KY RT 160 and KY RT 582 along Carr Fork and construct approximately 5,000 LF of 6″ HDPE waterline north to Runnels Branch. A 6″ HDPE line will be
constructed in Runnels Branch approximately 1,800 LF. The remaining service area will include approximately
5,100 LF of 3″ HDPE waterline continuing up the Left Fork of Runnels Branch, Rooster Lane and Wagon Lane.
The Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment and labor necessary to complete the construction of the
waterlines, appurtenances and reclamation

The project involves installing new fence at the Appalachain Challenge Academy in Harlan, Ky. The existing fence around the rear of the building will remain in place and receive three strands of barbwire. The fence on the creek side will be a black coated aluminum seven foot chainlink fence with three strands of barbwire. The front fence will be an aluminum decorative eight foot black fence with an electric operated twenty foot wide sliding gate and a single eight foot walkthrough gate. The fence to the railroad side will be galvanized seven foot chainlink with three strands of barbwire, The existing six foot fence along the railroad will be removed and turned over to the facility.

restoration, and all other items shown on the plans and mentioned in the specifications for a
complete project.

The Albert Robinson AMD project site consists of an eroded area in a field that is saturated with hazardous acid mine drainage. It is located off Albert Robinson Drive in London, KY at coordinates N 37° 12′ 13.61″, W 84° 04′ 20.92″.
To mitigate this hazardous condition, two sections (totaling 430 linear feet, L.F.) of 6’ wide flat bottom ditch filled with class III limestone (AML 21-20-2) will be constructed from a mine opening to the eroded area. A 30’ x 10’ permanent silt trap (AML 10-30-3) will be installed in between the sections. The mine opening will be excavated, and 3 20’ long, 12″ HDPE pipes with non-calcareous rock backfill will be placed in the opening. Also 100 L.F. of 12″ subdrain with non-calcareous rock will be constructed to funnel water from around the opening into the ditch. Rock will be used to create access the project area. The total project limits for this project encompass 7.4 acres.
Material excavated for the project will be placed and spread out on site.

drawings. Selective site clearing as indicated on the drawings. Will include Division 1, 2, 3, and 31.
