Dawson Springs was affected by a tornado that destroyed 30 buildings which included 26 dwelling buildings (50 units), 2 offices and two storage buildings which is known as Clarkdale Court Apartments which now need to be designed and constructed.

Extended Project Description: The project involves re-roof work at the Boone National Guard Center, building 162 in Frankfort, KY. The existing approximately 6,670 square foot roof to be removed is asphalt shingles on wood deck. The new roof system is a Standing seam metal roof system with related fasteners and trims. All pre-finished metal gutters, downspouts, flashings, accessories and terminations are to be replaced.

Transformation of the existing Rose Street area between Columbia Lane and Huguelet Drive into a pedestrian plaza and gathering place. This portion of the project includes work between Columbia Avenue and extending to Funkhouser Drive and along Funkhouser Drive to Library Drive.
New amenities and features are to include hardscapes, stone masonry planters, benches, seating, fountain, charging stations, walkway lighting, accent lighting, stone terrace walls, stone slab benches, metal arbor structures, accent pavements, cobblestone pavements, historic blend concrete pavements, exposed aggregate pavements, landscaping and sodding.
This new plaza will also extend west along the Chemistry-Physics building and include a portion of Funkhouser Drive.
This Project consists of asphalt paving of approximately 1,485 linear feet of roadway, pavement base failure repairs, roadway & parking lot widening, asphalt pavement milling, approximately 85,000 square yards of asphalt pavement sealing, and the replacement of storm water culvert pipes with headwalls
