The project includes miscellaneous rough and finish carpentry and other
construction to protect the existing Courthouse building. Infill of foundation opening
with cmu masonry and waterproofing at the north side of the courthouse foundation
excavation/ backfill. Temporary exterior weatherproofing and protection of the north
wall façade of the courthouse building.
Earthwork, back-fill, compact fill and rough/final grade work of the north side of
courthouse square with the complete removal of the Jail structure and sub-grade
foundations. General Site restoration for basis of future Phase II work proposed to
follow under separate contract.
Salvaging of the jail structure foundation stone.
Temporary control/ protection, and weather proofing protection of the existing
courthouse, and openings exposed with connector demolition.
Protection of existing courthouse H.V.A.C./electric/gas/ water/ sanitary sytems.

The project consists of mass earthmoving, site demolition, site utilities, retaining walls, other site
improvements, and preparing the site for future phases of work.
All asphalt paving, concrete walks, curbs / curb and gutters and other noted improvements have been removed from this phase of the project. All topsoil placement, except at the earthen dam for the detention basin, has been removed from the project. Except at the earthen dam for the detention basin, all permanent seeding and permanent erosion control blankets have been removed from this phase of work. The phasing and sequencing plan has been revised to remove the majority of the phased earth moving operations around the student parking lot. A new temporary gravel parking lot will be placed adjacent to the school. There will be some minor phasing and sequencing required to establish this parking lot prior to demolition the existing student parking lot, however the requirements greatly reduce the earth moving phasing operations to allow access to the entire site for earth moving operations.
The project has been condensed into one bid package.

The scope of this project will include the addition of a new 614 sf storage
building attached to the existing board office; minor renovations will occur within the existing
building to accommodate access to the new storage facility. Systems Include minor mechanical and
electrical.
Removal and replacement of sidewalk within the right-of-way along College
Street, Myrtle Street, and Front Street. Project will follow the Kentucky Standard
Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2019.
Campus. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for the complete abatement
including all items as indicated.
1. Roof Repairs: Roofs ‘A’, ‘C’, ‘D’, ‘E’, & ‘G’:
a. Clean & re-seal all skylight elements.
b. Application of retro-fit safety rails to skylight (Roof ‘A’).
c. Cleaning & repair of masonry above roof surfaces including (but not limited to) re-pointing & re-flashing of brick windowsills (Roof ‘E’).
d. Clearing of all gutters & drains.
e. Sealant repair & replacement throughout.
f. Remove identified areas of wet roof insulation & replace with materials to match existing.
2. Roof Replacements: Roofs ‘B’ & ‘F’:
a. Tear off existing built up roof membrane, sheet metal, metal counter flashings, and roof components as indicated. Install new rigid insulation, tapered insulation, metal components and 2-Ply SBS-Modified Bituminous Membrane system as indicated on the drawings.
b. Install new roof hatches
c. Install new lightning protection system; use existing grounding locations.
The Project will consist of the site development and construction of a new Russell County 911 Center facility in
Jamestown, Kentucky. Site work includes grading, utilities, new parking lot, and other site improvements. A
new 2,800 SF facility will also be constructed. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, and labor
necessary to complete the construction of the entire project.
The project consists of restoration of one (1) stair tower located along the eastern wall of the Lexington Readiness Center in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky.
The primary scope of work includes performing masonry repairs, masonry surface preparation and coating, removal and replacement of existing glass and glazing stops in existing hollow metal storefront. Masonry repairs entail limited removal of existing elastomeric coating, partial and total removal of single wythe concrete masonry construction, tuck pointing and patching, installation of new aluminum windows in existing hollow metal frame, removal and replacement of metal flashing, new stainless steel wall copings, and acrylic coating on all interior and exterior surfaces.
The project is the removal of approximately 500 linear feet of deteriorated cast iron sewer piping and replacement with PVC piping. Removal and replacement of approximately 5,000 square feet of 3-coat suspended plaster ceiling will be necessary to access the piping. Upon completion of piping and plaster work, the new and existing ceiling is to be cleaned and painted. To accommodate the overhead work in the existing Kitchen and Dining Areas, a temporary Kitchen/Dining facility is to be constructed on existing paved surface with necessary utility connections. The temporary facility shall be rented for a minimum of 3 months as required for completion of the interior work.

All responses submitted for this Request for Proposal exceeded the available budget. As such, this RFP is being closed without an award. It will be bid at a later date as a ‘General Contractor’ project.
The University of Kentucky desires the services of an experienced and highly qualified construction
management firm to provide “FULL SERVICE” construction management on the proposed project.
The Construction Manager (CM) selected will become a responsible, cooperative and contributing
member of the Owner’s professional team for the design and construction of the project. The
Construction Manager (CM) will provide assistance and advice and provide management services to
the Owner and design consultants to assure the project is completed within defined budget, program
and schedule.
