The scope of the project consists of the upgrade of one hydraulic elevator in the University of Kentucky Medical Center Combs Building. Upgrade includes the conversation of the existing hydraulic elevator to machine roomless traction elevator.

Contractor to furnish labor and materials required to refurbish the existing BAC Pritchard, Inc. Model 4-40 x 20, Series 7000 Redwood Structure Counter Flow Cooling Tower located above the roof of the University of Kentucky Medical Center Cooling Plant. This cooling tower is rated at 19,500 gpm and was installed in 1989. The work includes: 1) The removal and disposal of all existing fiberglass wall casing and corner panels, and their replacement with new panels and corner panels constructed of Heavy duty 12oz. per square foot, 4.2 corrugated fiberglass cooling tower panels secured with stainless steel fasteners. 2) The entire plywood fan decking consisting of treated plywood panels are to removed and disposed; and then new replacement fan decking on non fiberglass decking boards equal to Strongwell Safdeck, fastened with new stainless steel fasteners is to be installed. 3) All fiberglass air inlet louver panels and all cantilevered louver panel support to be removed and disposed, and new fiberglass channel cantilevered supports and new 12oz per square foot air inlet louver panes are to be installed and secured using new stainless steel fasteners all with stainless steel locking nuts. 4) the plywood stair tower landings for access to the fan deck are to be removed and replaced with new nonskid fiberglass decking boards equal to Strongwell Safdeck, fastened with stainless steel fasteners. 5) four new hatches to access the below deck and tower fill areas of the tower, made of UV resistant, FRP board are to be made to replace the existing treated wood access hatches that are in poor condition.
The work includes partial demolition of the existing field house and construction of a new load bearing concrete block field house with wood roof trusses and asphalt shingle roof on portions of the existing foundation and new concrete foundations. Work includes hollow metal doors and frames, finish hardware, insulation, interior finishes, and toilet accessories. Work also includes new plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, electrical devices and HVAC system including all associated piping, wiring, conduit, ductwork, etc.
