The City of New Albany has designated New Directions Housing Corporation (hereafter NDHC) the program administrator of the Midtown Renaissance Housing Rehabilitation Program. NDHC is seeking qualified General Contractors to be placed on an eligible bidder’s list to provide quotes on the rehabilitation of owner-occupied singlefamily homes. This will be a scattered-site housing rehabilitation activity within the Midtown Neighborhood that will support the existing Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). This is a federally funded project. It is in the intent of this program to improve the existing owner-occupied housing stock through repairs that enhance the quality, livability, efficiency and overall appearance of the assisted homes.

NDHC is seeking qualified General Contractors to be placed on an eligible bidder’s list to provide quotes on the rehabilatation of owner occupied single-family homes. This will be a scattered-site housing rehabilitation activity that will support a comprehensive approach to the revitalization of the of the Portland Neighborhood. Portland has been designated a Neighborhood Revitalization Stradegy Area (NRSA) and is also one of the designated areas to receive Neighborhood Stabilization Program funding. It is the intent of this program to improve the existing owner-occupied housing stock through repairs that enhance the quality, livability, efficency and overall appearance of the assisted homes. This project is funded in whole or in part by the Louisville/Jeffeson Co Metro Government through its Community Development Block Grant Program.

The design professional build contractor, shall provide a design as well as fabricate and construct one (1) greenhouse, 35’6″ wide and 46″ in length 12″ sidewall height and with partitions to create (3) 12″x36’6″ zones. Greenhouse shall be Ludy R/S Series II or approve equal. Greenhouse shall be constructed at the University of Kentucky, Princeton, KY farm. The complex is located at 1132 Hopkinsville Road, Princeton, KY. The detailed requirements and extent of work is stated in the applicable specification sections and shown on plans. The term Design Professional/Build Contractor and Greenhouse contractor will be used throughout the contract documents and are the same entity.

The work shall consist of demolition, renovation and painting of five (5) control booths with restroom and painting of 89 patient Rooms. Patient rooms and control booths are divided into 5 patient wings. All work in each wing shall be completed, inspected and approved before starting work in the next wing. Patients will be relocated from each wing prior to the start of work on each wing and occupied upon approval of completed work to each wing.

Renovation of Kentucky River Locks 3, 4 and 1, Kentucky River Authority

The base bid work shall include the removal, rehabilitation and reinstallation of the
existing gates and related components at Kentucky River Locks 3 and 4. The lock gate
renovation work includes demolition and off site disposal of certain existing lock
elements, concrete and stone masonry construction, and gate rehabilitation (including
certain in the wet repairs). The base bid also includes partial demolition and
replacement of the upper guide wall at Lock 1, which is located in Carroll County, Ky.
The work at all three sites will include site preparation, erosion control, surveying,
water control with fluctuating river levels, localized dredging, site safety/ security,
maintenance of local traffic, temporary access road construction and maintenance and
site clean up/ restoration. There are two (2) add alternates that include additional work
at Locks 3 and 4; add alternate one (1) consists of surface preparation and painting of
the existing gates. Add alternate two (2) includes the installation of a new safety railing
system and strengthening of existing chamber access ladders. The quantities listed
are for estimating purposes only. The Contractors must field verify any quantities and
measurements before submitting a bid.

Timothy Hall Slide Group, AML) Reclamation Project 30th Annual Construction

The Division of Abandoned Mine Lands wishes to receive bids to perform reclamation work on the Timothy Hall Slide Group AML Reclamation Project. This project group consists of four (4) separate sites in Knott, County and will address one landslide, six open portals, one collapsed draining portal, and mine drainage problems. The Timothy Hall site is the only location that will require a separate waste area, approximately 2 miles from the work area. Class II/III rock, erosion control blankets, dugout silt traps, haybales and/or silt fence will be used for silt control measures at all sites. The contractor will construct a temporary access pad of roadway stone and gravel when necessary at sites to prevent mud and dirt from entering the roadways. They will also keep all roadways clear any mud or dirt from the project work area. For continued project description see Special Conditions.

Louisville Water Company is requesting Bids to provide all labor, rigging, tools, equipment, and materials to rehabilitate the existing open shaft Freight Elevator located in the Zorn Pump Station Boiler Building. The scope of work includes improvements to the cab, frame and rails for uninterrupted operations as well as safety improvements which include caging, lights, telephone, ladders, painting and other work as noted in the contract documents. Refer to contract documents, which include specifications and drawings, for further description of scope of work.
The project scope includes renovation of an existing educational building including but not limited to new VCT flooring, paint, casework, HVAC, fire alarm system, sprinkler system, and playground. Renovation of restrooms will include all new finishes and new plumbing fixtures.
The work consists of this contract includes partial demolition an dremoval of existing roofing and flashings at the City Hall chambers and offices, a part of the Frankfort, Kentucky, installation of new insulation and a two-ply modified bitumen roofing membrane, new flashings and counterflashings, new copings, new joint sealants and other miscellaneous items.
