The waste material generated during project work will be used on site in the grading portion of the project boundaries.
During the process of these construction activities, trees over 5 inches in diameter at breast height will have to be removed in the AML problem area and to install drainage controls. RFB-39-14 Mike Williams Drainage AML Reclamation Project
RFB-39-14
Estimate: $ 91,330.75
Project Description:
During construction all site water must be directed across limestone sand and into a temporary silt trap type A and then through geotextile bags (site location to be field determined; trap is incidental to earthwork). Clean out the existing pipe set into the mine works and direct the water into a new dropbox structure. Tie the subdrain (retaining and regular) into the dropbox structure. Construct a grated concrete trench channel to a second dropbox at the edge of the roadway. The water will leave the lower box and flow along a concrete swale ditch parallel to the roadway. Install a curb between the swale ditch and the roadway to prevent automobiles from driving in the ditch. The construction of the swale ditch will require the stabilization of a short wall section along the roadway using a concrete gravity wall.
The City of Beattyville will direct the actual disposal of the material based on the current needs of fill material placement within their property limits. For continued project description see Special Conditions.
