2363.0 MDS Building – Basement and First Floor Fit-Up

The scope of work consists of select demolition and fit-up of a 1,350 SF portion of the MDS building first floor and 2,642 SF portion of the basement. The space includes labs, evaluation rooms and auxiliary research space.

The work consists of select demolition of existing finishes, partitions and building systems, construction of an equipment pit and new partitions, installation of new finishes, building systems, and laboratory items. New finishes include raised access flooring, tile and rubber flooring, paint and acoustical ceiling and cubical curtains. New building components include casework, camera mounts, a constructed runway and building system components. Installation of laboratory equipment includes forceplate mounting plates.

It includes up to 1,961 feet of main sewer lines, part or all of which are to be cleaned and televised using CCTV in accordance with PACP standards prior to the start of construction. Following the cleaning and televising work, the contractor shall provide a report of all defects with recommendations for rehabilitation based upon unit prices bid and constructability of any required rehabilitation. Based upon the results of the CCTV, the contractor will rehabilitate and repair designated areas of the lines using a combination of CIPP lining and spot open cut repairs. Also new manhole and sewer work are included in the Proposal Form.
