Louisville Water Company is requesting Bids for the furnish and install of one (1) complete underground booster pumping station including emergency generator work, site work, 16″ water main work, meter prv work, electrical work, EPSC, drainage, utilities, and restoration.
Consisting of the construction and/or furnishing of items as listed in the Bid Schedule included in Part III, Form of Proposal, of this document, plus incidentals necessary to complete the work. The work entails construction of approximately 650 linear feet of Sidewalk/Ramps on the east side of Rose Street from Euclid Avenue to Rose Lane. The scope of construction involves the removal of the existing concrete walk, curb and gutter and the relocation and construction of a new sidewalk.
RFB-36-15 Renovate McClure Pool into a New Volleyball Facility

The project, New Volleyball Facility, Renovate McClure Pool, is a conversion of the McClure Indoor Pool, to a Women’s Volleyball Facility. McClure Pool is attached and part of the Academic Athletic Center (AAC). The AAC Center will remain in full operation during this construction and the contractor will be required to maintain separation between the area under construction and the area in use.
All of the existing swimming pool filtration, piping, and pool accessories will be removed as part of this renovation. In addition, much of the existing electrical and mechanical system within this building has been corroded by exposure to chlorine over the years and will be required to be replaced.
The existing 25 meter pool will be filled with aggregate, and a new slab poured over the old pool area. The existing diving tank will be utilized as locker space on the lower level of the building, and a steel structure will be installed over the top of the diving tank and a new concrete floor installed also.
The exterior of the building has also suffered from chlorine and moisture penetration through the walls and the existing brick veneer will be removed and replaced as part of the project. The metal fascia around the perimeter of the building will also be replaced, as well as the installation of a new roof.
The lower level of the building will be used primarily for locker room space for the volleyball team. A new elevator will be installed to provide transport and ADA accessibility to this area. The existing bleachers will be reutilized and new bleachers will be installed on the floor of the volleyball arena.
The fire alarm system will be replaced in the facility and new lighting fixtures will be installed throughout. All of the electrical equipment within the existing mechanical room will be replaced. The existing locker rooms will be converted to a single visitor’s locker room and storage and media space.
The existing volleyball arena will be repainted, as will most of the surfaces within the renovated facility. Finishes include carpet in team and club areas, VCT in utilitarian areas and athletic flooring on the volleyball floor.

Project shall include removing existing paraphet cap and replace with new. Remove and re-install existing lightening rods. Project shall re-use existing roof penetrations. Reflash existing mechanical curbs.
The project has special requirements such as site access, communications, vehicle parking, construction site security, etc. These requirements are included in the contract documents.

The Oakwood Specialty Clinic Project entails the design and construction of an outpatient medical facility that is to be an extension and partial renovation to an existing medical facility on the campus of Oadwood Intermediate Care Facility in Somerset, KY. The new addition will be a single story, steel frame structure with a brick exterior and will contain approximately 6,700 gross s.f. of floor area that will contain new medical exam rooms, dental clinic and support offices. Renovation work will be limited to approximately 600 S.F. of the existing building and will involve remodeling of one corridor.
