Bid Package 01 – Construction
The entire 16,000 square feet of existing Bingham Hall will be completely renovated and approximately 10,700 square feet of additions will be constructed to include an expansion area for the dormitory showers and a new two-story entry-commons area on the east side of the existing three-story building. The infill area between the existing dormitory and the new entry-commons area will contain a new elevator and a new open stair.
The new 26,700 square foot facility will remain double occupancy and house 86 students. The new two story entry-commons area addition will contain a lounge area, coffee bar, office, accessible toilet rooms and an apartment on the first floor , and a lounge, coffee bar, accessible toilet room, study and classroom on the second floor. The attic of the two-story addition will contain a mechanical space.
The building’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems will be replaced and updated as part of the project to provide not only a quality housing environment but also compliance with life safety and accessible codes.

The Centralized Laboratory facility exterior renovation Phase V, located at 100 Sower Boulevard, Frankfort, Kentucky (Franklin, County), consists of upgrades and repairs to the exterior walls. The base bid shall consist of work that is primarily on the west and north sides of the facility. This work shall include, cleaning, sealant replacement, and reinstallation of exterior metal wall panels. Work on the interior of the wall system shall include sheathing repair, liquid applied waterproofing, and spray foam insulation. Interior work shall also include work at the basement level. This work shall include installation of the west concrete wall along a hallway and the reworking of an exterior louver system to create a waterproof barrier. The work of this project shall require access to the interior of the lab facility and will require security clearance (background checks) for all employees who will be working on or at the site.
