Sanitary Sewer and Water Improvements

WATER PORTION:
This project will construct approximately 8, 720′ of 8″ waterline, 225′ of 1 O” horizontally
directionally drilled (HOD) waterline, a Subsurface Utility Engineer (SUE) investigation to allow
safe installation of the new waterline, clearing and grubbing to allow the SUE investigation and
safe installation, and various other miscellaneous water related items.
SANITARY SEWER PORTION:
This project will construct approximately 275′ of 8″ gravity sanitary sewer, 175′ of 8″ HOD gravity
sanitary sewer, 35′ of 6″ force main, formally abandon various items, place tow (2) new
manholes, replace approximately six (6) combination sewage valves, conduct an odor control
pilot study and provide appropriate odor control facilities, abandon an existing lift station,
construct a new lift station, and various other miscellaneous sanitarv sewer related items.
Maintenance Building
Estimate:
$380,380.00
1. Work consists of all labor, materials, services, and equipment to install approximately 31,500 square feet of 2-ply SBS modified bitumen roofing, over 1/2″ cover board, over existing gravel surfaced 3-ply built-up roofing. Concealed wet areas, where indicated, shall be cut out and replaced with new insulation.
2. Work consists of all labor, materials, services, and equipment to replace approximately 2,300 square feet of standing seam metal roofing. Select areas of metal siding shall be replaced, along with new mechanical wall louvers.
3. Sheet metal copings, trim, gutters, and downspouts shall be removed and replaced with new.

This Project is to return the four Kinkead Hall exterior entrance doors and entrance systems to the original architectural design and in excellent repair.
The Project is to remove and dispose of the existing 2001 Tremco roof insulation and membrane from the top elevation (Area 1 & 2) of the Central Heating Plant #2 located at 598 South Upper Street in Lexington, KY. The project will include the preparation of the concrete slab to facilitate the proper installation of the new roof membrane. The new membrane will be a one-ply Hyload 150E membrane mopped to the slab using Tremco THERMastic SEB modified bitumen. Tremco THERMastic SEBS will be required adhesive for the project.

This project consists of installation of a new elevator in two-story lobby of Pike Building on the campus BSCTC in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. The new shaft and elevator equipment room will be located in a portion of the lobby of the building. After the new installation is complete, the old elevator and equipment will be removed by the contractor if funds allow by inclusion of Add Alternate No. 1. The new elevator will be a jackholeless hydraulic elevator 100 fpm 2100 lbs. capacity. New finishes associated with the installation of new walls will be part of this project. Associated MEP services to the elevator will be upgraded according to code.
