This is the second phase of a project to replace and upgrade major mechanical systems in the Fine Arts Building which includes replacement/upgrade of the air handling units and associated temperature controls, exhaust fans and reheat coils. This phase of the project includes replacement exhaust fans EF-2 (and relabeling as EF-9) which serves the 3rd floor restrooms, E-4, E-5, removing E-7 but not replacing, and adding EF-8. It also includes replacing the air handling units serving the Tuska Gallery (S-5) and Guignol Theater (S-4); it also includes replacing additional reheat coils and sprinkling the building.

Work under this contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services to re-roof approzimately 16,500 square feet of the Occupational Technical Building (OTB) 100. New roofing membrane shall be a granular surfaced 2-ply SBS modified bitumen over tapered rigid insulation. The work will entail complete removal of the existing modified bitumen roofing system and rigid insulation down to existing metal deck. Existing stainless steel copings and counterflashing shall be salvaged and reused.

In general, Bid Package 01 includes the necessary work items and activity required to prepare the site for construction of the new Student Center project. Work includes site protection and security, site clearing and the complete demolition and removal of the existing additions to the original 1938 Student Union building, including hazardous materials abatement. Selective demolition will essentially gut out the original 1938 Student Center building and the 1924 Alumni Gym building and is to also include hazardous materials abatement. The enhancement, relocation and rework of existing site utilities including, central plant heating-cooling systems, storm water and sanitary sewers, electrical and communications ductbank systems and service utilities to the new facility including natural gas, domestic and fire protection water, sanitary sewer, heating, cooling, electrical and communications systems are to be provided and new site utilities to circumvent the new building’s footprint is included in the project. Earthwork including mass excavation, temporary shoring, underpinning and site grading will also be as shown, required and defined in the Project documentation.

Louisville Water Company is requesting bids for the furnish and install of one (1) complete 3.0MG Elevated “Composite” AWWA D107 Storage Tank including EPSC, grading, site work, transmission/water main, piping, drainage, utilities, electrical, lighting and controls work, fencing, paving, restoration and landscaping as noted on contract documents.
The new high school will be built on 65 acres, to accommodate 1800 students. Classrooms, media center, gymnasiums, cafeteria, kitchen, administrative area, and other supporting functions will have a combined total of 285,790 gross square feet. This main 2-story academic building is constructed of perimeter spread concrete footing and interior stem walls, slab-on-grade and poured concrete floors, insulated concrete form walls with brick veneer or metal siding , metal roof deck and joists, concrete masonry units and metal siding, standing seam metal and modified bitumen roofing systems. Aluminum entrances, storefront assemblies, windows and curtain-wall systems are to be provided for the building. Separate drive loops for buses, students and faculty are to the west and south of the building. The main building is organized by a full-length N-S Corridor with 2-story classroom wings to the East and larger volume spaces such as Auditorium & Gymnasiums to the West. The Upper Site along Winchester Road includes the Academic Building and all related driveways sidewalks & parking . The Lower Site off Meeting Street from Sir Barton Way includes the Athletic fields with related buildings & structures. Mechanical systems include water-source geo-thermal heat pumps and a single make-up air unit with remote damper control. Remaining systems include LED lighting, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm systems, and commercial kitchen equipment.
