This project is for the construction of an 80’ x 100’ pre-engineered rigid framed metal building to serve as a county highway maintenance garage. The Garage area is 60’ x 100’, consists of 2 bays, with 16’ wide x 14’ high insulated sectional overhead doors on each bay end. Administrative Area is 20’ x 100’. The building has cast-in-place concrete floors that are 8” thick in the garage area and 4“ thick in the Admin. Area. Each bay has a trench drain with a combined water/oil separator. Garage and Admin exterior walls and columns are set on 8” high raised concrete curbs/bases. Finishes in the Administrative area include resilient tile flooring and base, painted gypsum walls, and acoustical paneled and painted gypsum ceilings and soffits. The garage will have exposed framing with R-30 simple saver batt insulation and poly-scrim facing and interior metal liner panels. PEMB Roof will be standing lock seam with concealed fasteners. Exterior walls are to be 16” wide, 24 ga. interlocking panels. Site work includes excavation, grading, storm water line picking up downspouts along one side of the building, and surface drainage; aprons at the garage bay doors and concrete walks and pads at doors and entries; crushed stone base and asphalt base and surface course. Site lighting is included and is to be coordinated with Clark Electric. Site is to be sowed in seed. Utilities will be brought to the building from the R/W line with underground electrical to the building. A water / oil separator will serve the bay area and the building will have a septic and lateral field system. Mechanical system is a 4 ton 80k BTU forced-air natural gas-fired fuel efficient furnace and condensing unit serving the Admin. Area and four suspended gas- fired unit heaters in the four corners of the garage. Electrical includes 120/240v, 1 phase, 3 wire, 400 amp service to feed two (2) 200 amp panel boards. The electrical service will be served from a pole mounted transformer bank with underground conduit and conductors. Other utilities to the building from the Highway R/W line include a 2-1/2“ natural gas line and a 2” domestic service water line and meter. Project includes an allowance for water tap fee. The project consists of roof replacement on one (1) building. Remove existing roof membrane system down to existing roof deck. Install 2-Ply SBS Modified Bituminous Membrane Roofing system over base layer insulation, tapered insulation where indicated and cover board insulation. Provide crickets where indicated. Provide new metal components; e.g. metal counter flashings, scuppers, roof drain leads, plumbing vent flashings, etc.

This is a Renovation of 65 Public Square in Lancaster, Kentucky. The building has housed different types of occupancies over the years but originally was constructed to house a mercantile or hardware store as the structure indicates with heavy joists at close spacing. Our intent is to renovate the facility and bring it up to code so it can operate as a satellite campus for Eastern Kentucky University and provide Adult Education Services. There has been abatement of the property and clean air reports are included in this Project Manual. There will be demolition, new construction consisting of Roofing Framing, Drywall, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Protection and Finishes as some of the work to be completed.

This project includes the replacement of resilient sheet flooring and integral base in two wings of the building on first floor. Work must be sequenced such that only several rooms will be replaced and completed, before proceeding with the next several rooms. Protection of the finished floor must be included until fully cured per manufactures recommendations. Dust control is required. Bedrooms and corridors to receive linoleum sheet flooring. Bathrooms to receive slip resistant vinyl sheet flooring. There is approximately 9900 sf. of new flooring being replaced, plus an additional 750 sf. being requested as an Add Alternate.
The Project consists in general of the following- Creation of dedicated locations for IT system racks and associated equipment in the Main Building in support of the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system; extension of fiber optic circuit to each of the IT rack locations; installation of electric circuits and devices at the IT rack locations; installation of IT circuits from IT rack locations to serve wireless access points located through the building; installation of ductless split HVAC systems to serve dedicated IT rooms. General construction will include select demolition and installation of partition wall and door to create a new IDF room.
