Extended Project Description: The project addresses the main pool and wading pool at the lodge. The description/summary of the repairs follows:
1) REPLACEMENT OF GATE HINGES/CLOSURES AND REPAIR RAILING POSTS: Replace the gate hinges, closures and latches on four (4) entry gates at the pool facility and repair the posts of a railing along access steps to the pool facility.
2) MAIN POOL MODULATING VALVE REPLACEMENT; The contractor shall remove the existing modulation valve which regulates the discharge of main pool water into the surge tank.
3) REPAIR AND EPOXY COAT POOL SHELL: The surface shall be prepared for the new epoxy coating system by removing all paint and loose material by sandblasting and/or other approved mechanical means. All cracks and joints in the shell will be repaired and patch material applied to provide a solid smooth surface for the epoxy coating. Slight cracks that are too large to be filled by the epoxy coating system shall be repaired with patching compound. Smooth walls and taper as required for the in-pool lights. Replace sealant between the stainless steel gutter and the pool wall.
4) DECK EXPANSION JOINT REPAIR: Approximately 1200 linear feet of expansion joints and approximately 400 linear feet of saw cut expansion control joints on the pool deck and the pool stainless steel gutter shall be cleaned and new joint sealant installed.
5) VENTILATION FAN. Replace the mechanical room in-line fan and ductwork.
6) SKIMMER WEIRS. Replace the weir on both the wading pool skimmers.
7) REPLACE BOTH POOL FILL VALVES. Replace the wading pool potable water fill valve and replace the main pool potable water fill valve, valve box and fill pipe.
Work of the Project includes replacement of a packaged air-cooled chiller serving areas of the Vocational Day Treatment Building at the Kentucky Children’s Home located at 8711 Lagrange Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40242.

The Division of Abandoned Mine Lands wishes to receive bids to perform reclamation work on approximately 15.5 acres of mine land in Harlan and Knox Counties, Kentucky. The work will consist of earthwork, gradework, and revegetation of 3 bond forfeiture permits.

This work includes the repair of multiple building elements to stop moisture infiltration into the building. The existing roof membrane above the second floor in the south wing is to be removed and replaced in it’s entirety with a new SBS modified bituminous membrane/insulation with new metal flashing and coping on parapets. The existing scuppers in the south wing are to be replaced in their entirety including the scupper sleeve, roof membrane, metal conductor head and downspouts. The scuppers located on the roof above the 3rd Floor shall be replaced in their entirety and that includes the scupper sumps, scupper sleeve, metal conductor head and downspouts. The existing windows in the south wing will be repaired as indicated on the drawings, this work also includes the repair of the interior wall surfaces that have been damaged by moisture infiltration.
