The University of Kentucky received bids for Invitation for Bid CCK-2424-20 on 10/09/2019. There were no bids submitted for the Trade Package 12 – Structural Steel work, so the project team has
decided to rebid this package to get bid coverage for this scope of work.
In addition, the documents contained in the Bid Package Manual and Invitation for Bid IFB CCK-2424-
20, are incorporated herein by reference including:
Sealed Bids addressed to the Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District, 700 West Liberty St., Louisville, Kentucky 40203 for the construction of 967 Ida Way Drainage Improvement Project, Contract No. 2020-012, Budget ID No. C20238, will be received at the office of MSD until 10:00 am, Local Time, November 5, 2019, and will be publicly opened and read at that place and time.
Description and location of Project: This unit based construction order is for 24-inch pipe and 24-inch flat bottom paved ditch installation, along the rear of 967 & 967 Ida Way in Metro council District 25.
All work shall be done in accordance to MSD’s Standard Specifications.
There will be no pre-bid meeting held for this project.
The Engineer’s Construction Cost Estimate for this project is between $30,000.00 to $49,000.00.

IF THE ENGINEER’S CONSTRUCTION COST ESTIMATE IS $50,000 OR MORE, the Minority Business Enterprise and Woman Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) participation goals shall be applicable to all contracts and comply with MSD’s Interim Supplier Diversity Policy and Guidelines (Interim Policy). The Interim Policy is considered as one of the elements of responsiveness in a bid. Bidders must subcontract at least 15.0% of the total amount of the Contract Bid price to a certified MBE and 6.0% to a certified WBE, or if the Contractor is unable to meet the goals, must demonstrate adequate “GOOD FAITH EFFORTS” in accordance with the Interim Policy. This project renovates rooms 201 & 224. The wall between 201 and 201A will be removed to create four new spaces. The project also updates existing Lab 224. 224 will contain four new lab spaces. Both rooms will receive new casework, fume hoods, and laboratory equipment. Upgrades to lighting, power, and HVAC will also be included. The hallway ceiling between rooms 201 & 224 will also be replaced.

This project is to replace Transformer in Ben F Roach Building. The exiting Generator is a
dual Fed Transformer. It has two main feeds tied to each end of the transformer. If either
feed loses power it will transfer to the other feed. Because Roach facilitates overnight patient
and day patients it is critical that the transformer has dual feeds.

acres of mine land in Johnson County, Kentucky. The work will consist of earthwork, gradework and revegetation of 1 bond forfeiture permit(s).

This project consists of the construction of approximately 2,750 feet of storm sewer, 400’ of
ditch grading, installation of catch basins and other storm structures, sanitary sewer replacement, asphalt surface milling and overlay, and all other items shown on the plans and
mentioned in the specifications for a complete project.
This work includes: The reconstruction of existing sidewalks at two locations in Elkhorn City. Approximately 314
LF of sidewalk will be replaced on Elkhorn Street and approximately 1,188 LF of sidewalk will be replaced on
Bridge Street. Two existing storm inlets will be removed and replaced, one on Elkhorn Street and one on Bridge
Street. Signage and approximately 300 LF of thermoplastic pavement markings will be installed. Contractor must
be pre-qualified by KYTC in Sidewalk (I12) and Entrance Pavement (I13).

The construction of approximately 300 linear feet of new concrete sidewalk on
the east side of Slate Avenue near Gudgell Street, construction of approximately 700
linear feet of concrete sidewalk behind the Owingsville Elementary School around the
rear playground, and construction of approximately 200 linear feet of concrete
sidewalk behind the Owingsville Elementary School heading south toward the public
pool.
The scope of work includes construction of a curbed permeable paver parking
lot, landscaping, construction of sidewalk (concrete and paver), pavilion, electrical,
water, sanitary, and storm utilities, and temporary erosion control as described in the full
summary of work and shown on the attachments. The project is located at 612-618 Main
Street, between Main Street and Henry Clay Street
Renovation and addition of the existing Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. Addition includes a 4
level elevator, mechanical enclosure, new commercial kitchen, 4 new 4 person bedrooms and
study room. Renovation includes reconfiguring all four floors including MEP items, a new
roof, parapet and grand entry.
Project includes the replacement of a 150 ton chiller with new air cooled screw chiller. Building is three story with one central air handler per floor serving between 13 and 12 VAV boxes per floor. The Contractor will be required to work on one floor at a time while the others are occupied. Air handlers shall have new controls installed. All existing fan parallel VAV boxes will be replace with new non fan powered VAV boxes with new hot water coils and controls. Existing ductwork will be cleaned but high pressure and low pressure ductwork. Complete new control system with all new sequences of operation shall be provided. This is a CEMCS point naming convention project.
