Estimate:
$3,356,018
Estimated Length of Project:
270 (Substantial Completion) + 30 (Final Completion)
The project involves roof work at the Hazard Community and Technical College on the Heavy Equipment, Devert Owens, Walter Prater, and First Federal buildings.
The Heavy Equipment and Devert Owens buildings will both have their existing roofs completely removed and replaced with a new two-ply SBS modified bitumen roofing system installed over new insulation and cover board.
The Walter Prater building will receive a recover roof system, with a new two-ply SBS modified bitumen roof installed over a cover board set above the existing roof. Any surface defects in the existing roof will be repaired before the new system is installed.
The First Federal building will have all four gutter roof areas replaced with a new fluid-applied roofing system. The standing seam metal roof will also be prepped and repainted, with a new coping cap installed over the existing stone coping cap on the metal roof sections to match the low-slope roof areas, along with miscellaneous tuckpointing of the stone cornice.
The Devert Owens building will also include repainting the scupper/downspout boots, the canopies, the metal siding and siding at the higher building section.
All work includes new flashings, accessories, and related sheet-metal components.
