PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project renovates the former St. Claire studio at 2640 Spurr Road, Lexington, KY. The renovations include building additional sound proof broadcast booths, a new sound proof control room, and revising the HVAC and lighting as needed. Maintaining a high level of sound proofing is mandatory and new construction and equipment must meet original (existing) sound transmission classification (STC) of the building. Installation of a new radio tower base, equipment building and associated site work is included in this project but will be an alternated bid (see below). The exterior wall of the new control booth (Room #120B) must meet the same level sound rating as original construction.
