History

Lynn Blueprint, founded in 1946, opened as a blueprint and supply company, catering to the needs of builders and surveyors.  The first store was only 1,000 square feet, located on Short Street in Downtown Lexington, Kentucky.

A hard working husband and wife team, Jack & Marcella Lynn, started and grew Lynn Blueprint.   In 1971, J.L. Lynn, Jack’s son, joined his parents to keep the successful company moving forward.   Then in 1972, Mike Carter joined J.L. in management of the mission: have one eye on the horizon and one on the work at hand.

Lynn Blueprint, Lynn Copies, and Lynn Color Graphics became Lynn Imaging in 2001.  Lynn Imaging, a name to better reflect the variety of document and printing options we offer. As the architectural, engineering and construction communities were looking to digital solutions, Lynn launched a world wide presence with our Digital Planroom for construction document distribution. Designed by Mike Carter, the e-distribution system completely changed the construction industry in Kentucky. Design firms can list their projects on-line with bid dates and a scope of each project.

We are on the cutting edge of technology. Lynn Imaging understands the world around us is evolving. For nearly sixty years, we have been early adapters to new technologies such as high speed digital reproduction, electronic data storage, and digital plan rooms. By strategically aligning your company with Lynn Imaging, the advantage you gain over your competition will turn more of your projects into reality.
