UK-3137.0-1-26 CM Services for Improve Willard Med\/Science Equipment<\/b><\/p>\n
The University of Kentucky desires the services of an experienced and highly qualified construction
\nmanagement firm to provide \u201cFULL SERVICE\u201d construction management on the proposed project.
\nThe Construction Manager (CM) selected will become a responsible, cooperative and contributing
\nmember of the Owner\u2019s professional team for the design and construction of the project. The
\nConstruction Manager (CM) will provide assistance and advice and provide management services to
\nthe Owner and design consultants to assure the project is completed within defined budget, program
\nand schedule.<\/p>\n
The total scope of this project is currently $6,000,000 with a total maximum construction budget of
\napproximately $4,200,000, to include costs for Construction Management Services as well as for the
\naward of trade contracts.<\/p>\n
The contract established for construction management services will be of a pure agency relationship
\nthrough Bidding, and then convert to a \u201cLUMP SUM, AT RISK\u201d contract. Contract award contingent
\non Board of Trustees approval.<\/p>\n
The CM will be allowed to compete for self-perform trade packages in accordance with KRS
\n45A.183(3-4). The Construction Manager shall hold all construction contracts, except to the extent
\nthat the University exercises its right to enter separate contracts for related work pursuant to article
\n6.6 of this document.<\/p>\n
